Perfect for catching anything trying to go down the drain. Easy cleaning . Only downside is that mine kept sliding everywhere when the water was rushing from the tub faucet. Once the shower is turned on the catcher stays suctioned in place.

My shower has a faintly textured, plastic-y bottom, and the suction cups don't stick to it at all. I suspect they'd do better on porcelain, like most (all?) suction cups, but I don't really have a good place I can test it. It catches hair fine, though not perfectly, and I don't usually move around too much so I haven't accidentally stepped on it or slid it out of place, so in that regard it does what it's supposed to. It would probably work really well in a sink, depending on the type of drain it has. ... show more

I've been using this type of trainer for years. Some of them are made of a stiffer material, maybe vinyl? This one is made of silicone rubber which helps it to be conformed to the shape of the drain, and for the suction cups to get a better hold. This helps it catch more hair. i bought the two pack so that i could keep one in my kitchen sink and in my shower. love the little smiley face, and it hasn't ripped or anything. honestly it does a pretty good job for the most part. only problem i encountered is that sometimes the water pressure exceeds the ability of the drain protector to suction onto my sink/shower, leaving some stuff to go through, maybe i'm not placing it properly. ... show more
