These are very helpful for blocking out the sun and the heat rays. We live in an apartment right now, with cheap shades and “blackout” curtains. We thought the curtains would be enough but these were a game changer in these summer months. Will probably take them down for winter, since we love the cold. I was surprised that these worked so well, especially with it being 95 outside. I really liked that these are Velcro on top so you don’t have to drill anything. We did end up taping the sides since they stuck out some. But that’s not really a big deal for us. ... show more

I will admit I thought this was a paper material. However I am thrilled to find it is actually a much sturdier material. Kinda like vinyl but not really. I got 3 for my living room area where I live I can’t actually have blackout window cling or anything. So this is the next best option. Super easy to install I just placed it on the plastic side of the sliding door frame. Plan to install the second side panel when it arrives then putting one in the middle so there’s some overlap. Hopefully this helps with the cooling cost of our apartment this summer. $150 for the electric bill already this month and we haven’t even hit the hottest months in New Jersey yet. ... show more

I recently purchased a single Blackout Curtain for my daughter's room. She has two windows, but one of them is located right behind her bed, and she wanted a blackout curtain to block out the sun and keep the cold out. I chose this particular curtain for two reasons. Firstly, it does not require any special tools or drilling holes - you can simply stick the curtains to the window frame or glass. Secondly, my daughter had a 1970s Venetian blind in the window that had become bent, so I thought if I removed the blind and kept the metal head rail, I could attach the shade to it. This way, my daughter could still open the window, and if I ever need to remove it, it would be easier to do so. The blackout shade is made of high-density polyester fiber, and the silver coating on the back effectively blocks sunlight, ultraviolet rays, and reduces heat while keeping the cold out, creating a comfortable sleeping environment. The only downside is that you have to manually roll up the shade with the included roll and use clips to hold it in place. However, since my daughter is using it in the window behind her bed, she will not be opening and closing the shade very often, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, I think it's a decent shade that works as intended and was a good purchase for my daughter's room. ... show more

So I purchased these for my kitchen to help cool the house you kno keep the sun out I purchased one works great I love it! The other one has fallen literally fell 8 times I can't understand why I followed the directions to the letter I think it's a great idea but maybe make it a little stickier

This shade is made of extremely cheap quality, thin plastic. The plastic rod to push into the bottom edge to roll, and the clips are also cheaply made and I don't they will last long. This item is very expensive at $19.99 for what you get. It looks so cheap that I won't be using it.
