  • Awesome, sturdy product.
Style: chrome grab bar 12 x 1.0 inch
What a blessing it is to have these installed near my bathtub. My confidence getting in and out of the tub has greatly improved!

  • May not be safe
Style: 24 inch black rubber handicap bar
I expected a very fine quality product for the money, but what arrived looked great, until I tried to do an install of the units in a tiled bathtub surround. To start, the instruction sheet is super small for reading by older citizens, the one's for which these are meant. Then there is the problem in that only one set of mounting hardware arrived for the pair, and I wrote to helen.wu20120616@gmail.com twice over a few days and never got an acknowledgement, or a replacement for the missing hardware. Third, is that the mounting rings have three holes set at 120 degrees apart, which sounded nice, except that it is impossible to get more than two screws into a standard wall stud, i.e. 2 x 4 that is 1.38" wide. So, the mounting is not as safe as one would expect since one screw is not into solid wood. With the screws 120 degrees apart, it is near impossible to use a standard electric drill (with Philips bit) as the bar gets in the way of the third screw, and thus you need to work around the bar with a standard Philips screwdriver. NOTE: You cannot mount the mounting (screw to wall) plate and then add the bolt to put on the bar, the bar has to be bolted onto the mounting plate and tightened first. And if you do one side and tighten it without bolting the other side, you will discover you have to undo your work. Forth, when installing over standard tile, which is what is on most bathtub walls, the supplied screws are too short and # 4 or #6. Tile is 1/4", backer sheet 1/4", drywall 1/2", and mounting plate 1/4" for a total of 1&1/4". The supplied screws are 1&3/8". That means that the screw only goes into the stud 1/8". I replaced each with 1&7/8" #8 wood screws. (Much stronger and deeper set) Caution, you should assemble one side with the mounting plate and the bolt that holds it to the bar, and then move the bar into position for marking the second set of holes (other end of bar). If you try to drill all mounting holes before doing this, you may find that the bar is too long or too short. It mounting on bath tile, then you should obtain a Diamond Drill Bit kit (Brutus or similar) that has a water cooling chamber and a drill bit guide that is made for ceramic tile drilling. (5/16" diameter). With the longer screws and the correct placement into the wall studs, the bar is solid and should be able to support both lateral and vertical as well as compression abuse. enjoy.. ... show more

  • Exactly what we were looking for!
Style: 16 inch black rubber handicap bar
We purchased these after getting a couple requests for grab bars for our short term rentals. These were easy to install and we especially like the grip on the handles. We will be ordering more!

  • The grips have a tendancy to slip down, and will split.
Style: 12 inch black rubber handicap bar
I love the look, but I recommend just getting the stainless steel with the safety etched in.

  • Great Looking...But
Style: chrome grab bar 12 x 1.0 inch
I do like the nice modern look of these bars. They are fairly easy to install with great instructions. However because of the cheap low quality hardware that is included on these bars; I had to purchase anchors and screws that would work better. See, these are being used for my elderly mother and the hardware included in the package is cheap and poorly made. I need to have the peace of mind when my mother grabs onto the bar, it is not going to come out of the wall. ... show more

  • Helps getting into the house safely
Style: chrome grab bar 12 x 1.0 inch
We didn't use them in a shower, we put them on the front door frame to assist entering and exiting the house. My husband is handicapped, an the step up at the front door makes it difficult for him to go and out of the safely house. He loves having the handles to pull himself up the step at the front door, before he would try to hang onto my display cabinet using it to pull himself up. Now I don't have to worry about him falling, the handles have no problem holding up 220 pounds and can withstand getting wet. ... show more

  • Easy to Install and USE
Style: chrome grab bar 12 x 1.0 inch
If you care about STYLE in your bathroom but also want great performance, this is a perfect blend. We didn't want those huge, commercial-quality "pipes" that are sold for most grab bars. These products are easy to install and easy to use. Yes, they are not as long as some of the more traditional bars so they are best for those who can reach out and grab the handles easily. If you need a long coverage area, these won't do. We really like the way they fit the decor and fit the need for a sturdy support. We put one next to the toilet and one at the entry to the shower, and are very happy we bought them. ... show more
