The sandpaper was easy to remove from the backing but the adhesion on the cleaned disk was lacking. It started to peal away from the disk in a few hours. I will heat the disk wheel and reapply the sanding disk to see if that makes a difference.

I'm still using it but this photo shows what the first disc looks like after using it once. I have left it in place because the abrasive is still working well but the disc that was on before this one had been there for years and was extremely difficult to remove. I cleaned the sander surface (machined aluminum) well with acetone so it was VERY clean before applying the new sanding disc so the failure is the adhesive (IMO). I will probably use some glue to fix this and accept the removal nightmare because the abrasive seems so durable and adheres very well to the disc (so ONE of the adhesives in the product is VERY good). ... show more
