  • Quality from Finland: Mirka sanding solutions can be found in workshops worldwide, providing professional sanding results suitable for both professional and personal use.

Description

Abranet is a multifunctional net sanding material that delivers high performance and lasts longer than traditional abrasives, making it a cost- effective solution for sanding. Whether you're using a machine or sanding by hand, Abranet's true dust-free sanding characteristics result in a cleaner work environment and a better surface finish. The discs come with a hook and loop backing, making them easy to attach to popular sanders. When used with a vacuum sander, Abranet's dust collection is incredible, and the abrasive lasts 5-7 times longer than conventional abrasives. Abranet features aluminum oxide grain on a nylon backing and can be used for dust-free sanding. To prolong the life of your backup pad, use protector pad 9955RP or 9956RP with the discs between the sanding disc and the backup pad. For contours and rounded surfaces, use interface pads (9155RP or 9166RP). Overall, Abranet is a versatile and durable sanding solution that delivers excellent results, a cleaner work environment, and cost savings in the long run.

Absolutely love nets. So much better with dust and clogging. Way way better than sanding paper.

These screens are an invaluable addition to conventional sanding discs.

  • revised opinion - can recommend - get the festool pad protector with these.
Size: Assortement
The 80 grit Mirka Abranet discs don't seem to have any advantage over the regular granat 80 grit pad from festool - perhaps less life, in fact. Used on end grain walnut where I really needed a long-lived abrasive and was disappointed. Later; Put a gently used one on the pad protector (Festool) and it started cutting well - these are pretty good, in fact. ... show more

  • Tough sanding disks
Size: Grit 100
This highbred sandpaper removes material very quickly. The big advantage is that it does not easily plug up from glue or old finish. I use a wire brush to clean off sticky materials. Also the dust collection is far superior to standard grit/paper sanding discs. I believe it is more economical than standard grit paper in the course of grits. These disks last longer and save time by not having to stop in the middle of a job to change disks. I have to say I do not see a significant difference in the finer grits below 120. I use Abranet 80, 100, and 120 with a Festool Rotex 150 and selectable oscillation, which helps smooth out sanding marks between these course grits. 100 grit is favorite. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Aggressive
Size: Grit 80
Once I got my Mirka sander (I still have a Ceros) I rarely use my belt sander. With an 80x disc on there it really does a good job of taking down the surface and leaving it nice. Let the grit do the work for you- keep at the coarse until it's done all it can, only then begin finer grits. I do have some of the Abranet HD that goes down to 40x, but for most everything I do I begin at 80x. ... show more

  • One of the best sanding options!
Size: Assortement
Abranet makes a quality sanding disc. They are durable & provide fantastic smooth surfaces as you increase the grit number. I use them on wood and epoxy with no worries about swirls, as long as you keep them clean it’s a large gum eraser as needed. This is the only sanding disc I use.

  • My go to
Size: Grit 80
These aren't the cheapest, but definitely worth the money. I use them with my Festool ETC and a Festool dust extractor. Almost zero dust after and the surface is great. These also seem to not clog and last longer than standard sanding discs. I do use the pad protector that goes between the sanding disc and sander pad. I have a 5" and 6" sander and have only replaced the protector pad on either once or twice in 12-18 months. I have a small woodworking business and do a fair amount of sanding. These are definitely my favorite discs. ... show more
