First these are not 3M Xtracts, these are everyday mid-quality sandpaper discs. Dust will fly and the paper will wear out but it's sandpaper, I use these to remove material quickly. Mostly scuffing and prelim sanding rough edges to template lines. For that, these work great are priced very attractively. For finishing progressions I use Xtracts. For making wood smaller and getting rid of rough spots and sharp edges I use these. Understand what you are getting when you order these and you will find them very useful. ... show more

I don't have a lot to compare the longevity of these pads to, but with how cheap they are it'd be hard to justify buying name brand pads at store price no matter how much longer they last you.
