Came looking just as advertised. Lightweight, no chips in paint, love the textured center. We got these to put on a pole by the swimming pool, to assist folks going up and down the stairs. Had them attached and ready to use in under 15 minutes.

Generally, these are good, but as others have said, the covers don't snap on once installed. This is because the design requires the cover to snap on past the edge of the mount by about 1/32", which cannot happen once the mount is installed up against the wall flush. I applied silicone caulk to the cup, but it only makes the cup push itself back off the mount moreso. I ended up holding the cups on as far as they would go with tape until the caulk sets. There is a sliver of silver visible though against the wall. Keep in mind that when installing horizontally, in order to have a screw hole line up 16" on center with studs, the 3rd hole will be behind the rail, so only 2 can be fastened. Lastly, one of the 2 rails I received had some rust on it already. (see pics) ... show more

I just recently received this product. It arrive I a few days in a plain brown box. I am a mechanical/electrical can fix almost anything. I found the instructions rather small and a little awkward to understand. The quality is just a little better than average and the supplied hardware in opinion is cheap. And it's recommended that this device to be screwed into a wall stud but drywall anchors are included. It was necessary to use a few of the wall anchors. The issue with them is the hole the anchors fit into must be a very tight fit or the anchor will turn when you turn the screw into it and won't hold the screw. Worse case scenario is you can't get the screw back out because the anchor is turning. My advice is obtain better wall anchors or be sure to attach this device into the wall studs. Overall, I painted it almond color to match the vents and it's reasonably strong enough to maintain balance for my wife to get in and out of yhe tub. Well I like the knurled grip and they seem to be strong. I’m still in the remodeling process so not sure how they will hold up when they are getting wet. My complain is the bolt cover phalanges do not have a set screw. They just slide on and don’t stay in place. I have them in the shower for my father in law so I’ll probably have to buy some sealant but not sure how I can keep the phalanges in place while the sealant dries. Set screw would have been great to keep them in place. ... show more
