I really wasn't expecting too much from this toolkit when I ordered it to keep in my truck for emergencies.     • I have to be honest... I really did not expect much, but this is a nice tool set.
It might not be the most famous brand, but what my wife and I need is a tool box like what we used to have... we called it the tool box that could fix anything... and it often did! When we moved away from the area to our home now, the Tool Box that could fix anything kind of merged into our larger tool box - but I'll darned, every now and again, we just need something like that. This tool box has MORE than what we used to grab and go with then... and better materials as well. All very nicely packed in a great little case. Now, sure, there might be a few additional items that we might have to grab, such as a large ladder, or multiple ladders - but those just don't fit in the box. Never did. Other items such as tapes, paint brushes, tarps, water hoses, etc. we can just grab and go... but this little box is the first aid ticket to the repairs we have to run out and work on quickly, and I am very happily surprised of how good this set is... I wasn't looking for much, but this kit over achieved what I had been hoping for. Five Stars! ... show more

I help my friend out at her elderly parents' house quite often, and am constantly asking if they have this tool or that tool to fix things at their old house. I don't want to bring five large chests of DeWalt tools over every time I visit, so I ordered this kit, not knowing what to expect, but hoping it'd have a nice variety to cover most of my needs. I am surprised and shocked at how high quality most of the tools in this set are. These are not professional grade tools, but they are not dollar store grade either. The selection of tools, and the blow molded case that they come in, are enough to tackle 95% of the jobs that I encounter on a day to day basis, and this is the perfect tool set, for $50 (at the time of this review,) to leave over at their house, knowing that I'd have a pretty good quality set of tools at my disposal. ... show more

I ordered the 159-piece tool set for my wife so she could have a broad set of tools at her disposal. She likes to handle minor repairs herself, giving her the freedom to proceed without having to hunt down tools in my workshop. Several features attracted me to this product.     • More useful tools than I was expecting but in a good way
I was slowly losing the tools from a combo tool set that my BF had purchased about 10 years ago, Either he or I abandoned them somewhere or possibly my kids let them wander off, but the need for a new household tool set in a good box was dire. This is a great replacement and a whole lot better than what we had before. I'm painting my name on the box and going to keep track of these tools for as long as possible. The hammer and tape measure are small but I have several larger ones at hand anyway. I love the wide range of basic tools that this has all compactly organized..... no more need to improvise to do the job since I'm pretty sure I'll have the right tools for the jobs now. ... show more

    • An ok tool kit for basic household or auto repair.
I found this tool kit to be useable and decently made, but not that good. The case does not hold all the pieces well and opening it is a lottery whether something will fall out (or is already loose). I also do wonder how long the case would survive, but it does appear to be ok when new. When using the sockets I found them dropping of the ratchet a bit too easy (while getting them on it did require some force). The adjustable wrench was a bit too loose for a brand new tool. All in all it does work. And it maybe an ok housewarming gift. Not for someone serious about his/her tools though. ... show more

    • Great for my handy "grab it" tools
I just needed a decent tool kit with all the basics for general around the house stuff. I'm not a carpenter or an electrician or a plumber or any valuable tradesman, I'm just a homeowner who occasionally needs to screw something in or nail something up or find some odd bolt that needs tightened or removed. This kit MORE than covers my needs. Both indoors and out, for my house, my lawn mower, my golf cart, my 4 wheeler, the fence, the sheds - this covers absolutely everything I could need and then some. Anything more specialized than this kit, I'm calling a repairman for. The tools are nice and heavy, well made, and the kit is well organized. Thinking of getting one for my Daughter in Law as well, since we're both the "men" of the house when it comes to fixing things! LOL! ... show more
