I installed this over my back steps. It really matches the barn red stain. It was not very hard to install by myself, except connecting the end rafters to the roof slats was a bit difficult. I strongly recommend watching the Youtube video on installing this, it will make the instructions much clearer. I put this up to hopefully protect the door and moldings, since I already had to repair some rot on the bottom of the frame. The media could not be loaded. The quality is the best! We live on a lake and have very windy conditions. This is built to last years. Very sturdy, easy to assemble ,stainless steel fasteners. I purchased three units 60” wide to protect 36” doors.

    • Very Good Quality Canopy; Ease of Assembly and Installation
Excellent quality canopy; structural and trim components designed thoughtfully with good fit. We assembled this canopy in our driveway as that gave us a good, flat, ample lay-down space for fastening all of the components in a careful manner. Supporting, and holding up the canopy prior to securing it to the snap-in rail is a two-man job; not so much due to weight, but because of it's overall size (ours was 6' wide.) Care must be taken while installing the snap-in rail which is secured to your house siding. We chose a spot where our stainless steel screws (not included) would not interfere with those beneath our vinyl siding. The snap-in support rail must first be leveled prior to securing it to the house. Then, supporting the canopy, the other person engaged the tail end into the corresponding rail, pressing it downwards, locking it into place; a positive support and locking design which worked well. ... show more

The setup was a bit involved, requiring several tools, and not everything fit together perfectly, but a little wiggling and an extra hole here or there was all it took to get this guy assembled. Maybe an hour start to finish. Installation was a bit trickier though requiring at least 2 people. The very thin paneling is great because it's not very heavy. But this makes it susceptible to damage and mine came with several cosmetic creases that do not in any way affect it's performance. ... show more

To help other customers like myself who rely on the manufacturer's provided information to order a specific size, I wanted to advise that for the projection, you cannot rely on the "Projection" measurement listed on Amazon or what you see on NuImage's own specifications. I ordered a 1500 series (72 x 42) awning but after receiving the awning to my surprise the projection is only approximately 37.5 inches. Be aware that the awning’s projection is measured as I have indicated with red line in my picture and based on the curvature of the sides not the distance from the wall to the front. I wish I knew this before I placed the order. Now my projection is short by 4.5 inches. Otherwise, the unit seems to be well made. NuImage’s staff were very professional when I called them to inquire about the issue I ran into with the projection dimension. I can update my review after the installation which could be a couple weeks from today. I could've given this review 5 if all indicated measurement were accurate. ... show more
