installed grate. Handle, screws, and fan/fixture included in the package. Did not turn on with the on off toggle, you need the remote to do that. Also, does NOT come with A23 battery. other than that, works as it should.

First , the battery you need is A23 for the remote, buy it with the vent or you wont be able to test/run fan till you do. Next when marking the top of trailer give yourself a good 1/4" wider ALL the way around using the inner frame as a guide. A hole saw of about an inch makes a perfect corner, then a jig saw to cut around the perimeter. ... show more

I stupidly installed this before I hooked it up to the battery. The fan doesn't work. There are 12 volts going into the circut board but .8 volts coming out. I could bypass the circuit board and wire directly to the motor but then I have to climb up there to push the on off switch. I could wire it into the adjacent light so when the light's on the fan is on, neither solution allows fan reversal. I had to drill new holes in my roof. Their flange was narrower than the unit I'm replacing. I used 5200 marine adhesive sealant, their tape was melted and smeared all over the box and fan. Spent a day installing it, will spend a day uninstalling it. I accepted an exchange, I don't have a lot of faith at this point but if I don't have to drill a third set of holes it will be for the best. UPDATE Repacement fan is working, remote works. It doesn't really move a lot of air either direction. Probably fan blade shape has a lot to do with it. Not as good as I'd hoped but better than nothing. If I ever need to buy another I'm going to look at cubic feet of air moved. ... show more

This is to go into a trailer conversion and as soon as I opened it, I was shocked at how flimsy and horribly it worked. The mechanism to open/close is probably one of the worst designs I have seen. The vent isn't attached to the base by a hinge but rather a few pieces of tin poorly folded together, so it doesn't really close consistently but sits awkwardly out of alignment. The crank mechanism is super thin stamped metal that got stuck the first time I tried to open/close. I had to grease/oil it just to get it to open/close. There's no screws to fasten the unit to the ceiling, so make sure you get them beforehand. I will have to tweak a few things before I put this in but just waiting for it to break. Probably one of the lowest quality things I have ever purchased, don't buy this - it's complete garbage. ... show more
