I was very impressed with the strength and design of this carport. I was even more impressed with how easy it is to assemble. I liked it so much I bought a second one 2 weeks later. I figure that when I no longer need them for storage, I can take one or two of the sides off and use it for parties. The second kit I got was missing 2 pieces, but the customer service was great. We bought a cheap $100 canopy with aluminum poles. It said right on the box not for use in wind, snow or rain. Ok, I guess it would work in your living room. It lasted a week before a rain storm broke it to pieces. When we got this one we liked that it not only had thicker poles but was also steel. In addition, it has numerous braces to support it. Turns out it is a good thing. It has been up a couple months and one of the top bars has started to bend. We get some pretty windy storms here, so weren't surprised. It looks like it is holding now, thanks to the angle brace on those bars. I will see if they offer replacement parts. If so, I will update to five stars. ... show more

Edit: REFUND RECEIVED! After going back and forth with customer service for almost 2 weeks, I was finally sent a return slip to take the items to FedEx to be returned to vendor. I wish the process was not so arduous and customer service would call to speak and resolve issues instead of using the messaging system. I only received a phone call from someone after I was emailed the return slip only to be asked if I would change my review. I did advise I would UPDATE my review once my refund was received. My refund has been received but I would suggest customer service works on communication and their refund process. The instructions are a joke. It's basically just pictures and they omit a few steps but of you are paying attention to the pics you figure out which steps they left out but hopefully you catch it before full assembly. Thank goodness we caught it beforehand. Instructions also tell you there are triangle pins included but there were nine and nothing in the Instructions tell you what they would have been used for. Horrible customer service. They do not provide paid return labels. Customer has to pay to return. Item shipped in 2 large boxes, one over 6 feet tall. They will not provide a carrier to come pick up either. As the customer you have to find a way to get thr large items to a post office or carrier and pay for it yourself, so technically you will not receive a few refund if you have to pay to return a 160lb item. The item IMO does not live up to the sturdy claims as advertised. It's as flimsy as a pop up tent you buy for the beach. But I will say the size and ease of snapping together is great. Just not as sturdy as advertised and you get the complete run around with trying to return the item. ... show more

I bought this in September 29th 2022 (ADVANCE OUTDOOR 12x20 ft Heavy Duty Carport with Sidewalls & Doors, Adjustable Height from 9.5 ft to 11 ft, Car Canopy Garage Party Tent Boat Shelter with 8 Reinforced Poles and 4 Sandbags, Beige). The item upon first installation, a few rivets holding the tarp fell off. On March 31, 2023, wind mangled the carport. I don't know how strong was the wind but nothing else around the house had any damages. A neighbor had a tiki style hut roof for her outdoor bar and it was un-damaged. I reached out to the seller regarding warranty. I provided pictures of the mangled carport. The seller wants me to pay $400 for a new one! Imagine if my car was underneath that carport. I wonder how much damage to my car would there have been. This product is worthless and the seller will not stand behind their product. Buyer beware. I will give them time to replace. If they do, I will update this post as such. If you intend to use this product, you must provide reinforcement! Know also that the tarp rips very easily. I had the base screwed into heavy wood base with three layers of cinderblocks to hold it down. The wind severely bent the base and the framings. UPDATE: I receive a replacement.
