The wire is easy to separate and pliable enough to not be a problem when unreeling the wire. It is speaker wire. Bear in mind, it is copper clad aluminum (which keeps the cost down). The wire is made up of very fine individual conductors which keep the cables very flexible. I appreciate the white insulation as it fits the esthetics of the room. For me, they feed the rear surround speakers and I wasn't able to hide the cable the entire run. The 12 gauge cable works perfectly with banana plug connectors from Amazon, Monoprice, and others. It also twists up nice if you need to feed it through a screw and post connector. Used this on my own perosnal home theater sound system. It was overkill for use but so inexpensive it was worth it. Wire was very easy to pull through the walls/ceiling. Easily identifiable polarity markings. Good quality. Would definitely recommend!

Great quality cable, nice and flexible sleeving and great sound quality! I don't know what else to say, but with a good set of terminals these cables are legit. I terminated a set with some BFA style plugs and they sound fantastic. 10/10 recommend!!
