This is the first replacement to the original inserts. My cuts are as good as the original. I like the performance, value for the money. They should have come with screws. I had to use the screws from the original set. I took one star off for that.

I lathe for 3-4 hours daily. In 2 months I've only dulled one bit. If you have a fine grinder you can even sharpen them for reuse. Highly recommended. Never going back to the old style of lathe tools except for roughing.
