    • Impressively-Powerful Yet Diminutive 240V, 5000W Tankless Water Heater
Upon opening the box (which was packaged well and quickly and safely), I immediately thought "there's no way that this tiny thing is going to output enough hot water." Well, I was wrong. I have no idea how they engineer these little things to be such monsters at continuously outputting hot water, but it's impressive. I have a 6,000+sq/ft 1800s Victorian farmhouse in the country and at the far side of the house (from the main, huge traditional hot water tank), the long run of hot water from the other side of the house just can't maintain temperature well enough at the tap in our master bedroom bath. So although this huge tank "can" keep up, performance wise, I don't like having to wait over two minutes for the pipes to heat back up as the water runs needlessly down my drain before I can hop into the shower or use hot water in my master laundry room sink, etc. Call me impatient. Anyhow, I decided to add this into the mix and located it right inside a utility cabinet inside of my master bathroom since we were in the middle of a remodel there anyways and I am so glad I did. Now, when I turn on the water, I have instant heat and man, do I mean instant (like less than 10 seconds, to any tap). Now my main tank no longer has to be burdened by supplying water to this portion of the house at all. Yet in the wall, I created a sort of hot-water supply switch, if you will, to allow me to later (if I so desire, for whatever possible reason), to switch to either system with the simple turn of a valve. Anyhow, that's probably useless for this review. Regarding this product, if you've already got 240V power in place and a cold-water supply line (which I did not), then installing it couldn't be easier. Once installed (and the directions are clear, although almost unnecessary as it's so straight forward - but then again, I'm a general contractor, so maybe I see things a bit differently), this thing really puts out the hot water. I can run my master bath walk-in show, while my wife is right around the corner running hot water in the sink at full open, and it just keeps going continuously without any sense that it's struggling - no dips, no slightly less hot moments - nothing. Setting your preferred temp is very easy too, as the touch-screen control is simple and straight forward (Hotter? Push up. Colder? Push down) Overall, I couldn't be happier with this little unit and therefore, gladly and highly, recommend it to others. ... show more

The hot side mail fitting snapped off inside the unit with very little pressure applied. I have installed several mini tankless units and never had this happen. Perhaps it was just the unit I got? I tried to get a new unit shipper ASAP as a replacement, but that was not an option. It's a hard pass for me. ... show more

My husband is a plumber and had this setup in no time with zero issues. He said it is a pretty straight forward installation. He works with tankless water heaters all the time, me on the other hand wondered how a unit so small could be so powerful to supply on demand hot water. I couldn't belive the difference of how fast the water heated from prior to installation and after. It really gives on demand not water and saves water by not standing and waiting for it to heat up. With two full baths in our house it could take quite some time waiting on the warm water to shower if the other shower/tub had been previously used.     • Works great in my driveway for my pressure washer
I have hooked this tankless water heater into the inlet feed for my pressure washer. They say indoor use only, but this is under my carport 10 feet from the edge and it's SoCal, so I'll take my chances. I wired the power to use the same NEMA 14-50P 50 amp plug / 40 amp breaker as my EV charger so I didn't need to run an extra circuit although the heater looks like it draws about 26 amps continuous so the 40 amps is a little spare. My pressure washer runs about 1.8 gpm maximum and the water heater had no issues keeping up a 130 F water stream continuously. SoCal inlet water temperature at this time of year (June/July) is about 80 F so I'm asking for a 50 F temperature rise continuous and it kept up. This combination of 130 F and the pressure of the pressure washer really powers through engine grease, driveway oil stains, etc. without any environmentally toxic detergent or solvent. Nice. I do get an intermittent error E4 when I'm NOT pulling the trigger on the pressure washer which the heater manual says is a failure of the output temperature sensor, but I think with no water flow that is a momentary false positive before the sensor figures it out. I'm ignoring it. I haven't used the remote. I don't see the point for my application. The buttons on the front of the unit work fine and it's right there next to me in the driveway. Maybe if it was inside a cabinet under the sink I might need it. Bear in mind those front panel controls are "touch" buttons. They don't push in. And touch buttons work on body capacitance. This little guy packs a punch! I wasn't expecting much from a tankless water heater, but this one surprised me. It's super quick to heat up water, which is a huge help since my kitchen is so far away from the water heater. Really speeds up those early morning coffee runs or late-night dishwashing sessions. Plus, it's small and fits perfectly under my sink, saving me a ton of space. I love that I can adjust the temperature with the remote control. We have a small shop that serves Teas, Coffee, and Slushy drinks. We're required to have a triple sink and hot water. The shop was not fitted with either of those things when we rented it.
