I love this bag especially for the price. It has a great look to it and is very spacious with a lot of pockets. There was some fraying around the back zipper but I just cut off the loose threads and one of the pockets has some sharp hardware from the snaps on the front. I put some duct tape over them in the pocket and it is not a problem now. Super great bag for the price! It did smell once unwrapped but that dissipated after a couple days. While I think this is a nice looking bag, the smell that permeates from it is atrocious. I have aired it out overnight by hanging it on my porch, but it didn’t help. I love the smell of leather, but this seems to come from inside the bag. It is nothing like leather, and truly stinks to the point that you can smell it when it’s left in a small room, just walking by it. Honestly smells like urine. I love this bag. It is goat leather and is a tad stiff, but even after daily use foe a couple weeks, it’s already softening up. The size is perfect, as it holds my large billfold, keys, lipstick, and other essentials but isn’t sloppy big. Even the lining is a pretty earthy green. F I were to change one thing, it would be to make the adjustable leather strap slightly shorter, as there is about a 3” excess tab, even though I have the bag at hip length when wearing as a cross body. But any leather snips can cure that, if it is an issue. The craftsmanship appears to be flawless, and I love the dark buckskin color of the leather. That purse in the advertisement is made of either cow hide or goat hide and shows softening and weathering. The purse I received is not soft leather is so stiff and this goat leather is not porous enough or tanned properly it will never soften or take oil to soften. The stitching is not durable and is not done very well. Goat leather is soft and pliable. This is pleather it’s very much like Naugahyde which is designed to look like leather. This looks like an old pick up truck seat and smells like chemicals and the stitching is the same color as if it’s been stained or sealed with a sealer. Update: Used the bag on my vacation,, and it was perfect. It is so comfortable to wear, you can barely feel it, and it came through well. No issues with it at all.. like the bag a lot. The strap is nice and long. I am a busty girl, and a lot of times the straps aren't long enough to allow for the extra room up front, and the bags hit in a really weird, uncomfortable spot. The inside has several sections to put stuff in, it doesn't have credit cards slots, which would have been a nice touch, but it definitely isn't a deal breaker. A thin wallet will work fine. The inside is a rough green material. It is a nice color, but a weird choice of fabric for me. The purse will hold a phone, a slim wallet, and some extras for traveling. It should work well for me on my trip. The leather looks nice, but it feels kind of greasy. They put a note inside that they wiped it down with vegetable oil to get it glossy, and that might be what I am feeling. I did rub a towel over it several timese to see if anything came off, a greasy spot, etc, but it didn't. I am sure with wear it will go away. All in all, I am happy with the bag. Once I use it on my trip, I will update my review if anything doesn't go like it should with the bag. ... show more

I bought this bag because I’m currently receiving chemotherapy and every two weeks I’m connected to a pump for a few days. I wanted something a little more elegant and less obviously medical than the black nylon fanny pack the hospital supplies. However, I love this bag so much I now carry it everywhere. It holds just enough - my phone, charger, earbuds, meds, wipes, sunglasses - even the 16oz water bottle in the pic can fit sideways across the top. I took a quick trip to NYC this past weekend and this bag was an indispensable travel companion. Perfect to keep the aforementioned items handy, and ideal to organize a myriad of boarding passes and baggage claim stubs. The strap is long enough that I could stow the bag under the seat in front of me but still hold the strap for easy retrieval when needed. It’s well made and rugged. The leather looks and feels great. Others have complained about the smell; to me, it smells exactly like new leather should. The green canvas lining is fine in my opinion. Rugged as opposed to dainty. It’s a bag, not a purse. I love it. But definitely don’t get one. I want to be the only kid on the block with this thing. ... show more

I have 2 ⭐ because the size is perfect and the comparment designs are excellent. However, it won't be an item I will use in public due to the cheap look and feel of it. It feels like it's made of cardboard with a cheap covering. It causes it to have a very clunky, boxy feel. I'm not returning it because it's such a huge hassle to rebox and pay Uber to drive me to a center to return the item. Very good craftsmanship everything is finished and neat. The leather is a lovely color and has no unusual odors or variations in thickness. It is also fabric lined which I was not expecting. It holds all my stuff without “bulging”. Generous sturdy shoulder strap. The zippered pockets are easily accessed one inside and one on the back.
