This is a review for 10x Magnesium supplement. I am here because of Gary Breka. I listen to some of his podcasts and videos. It is because of him that I learned I should get a genetic test specifically for the MTHFR gene mutation. Which I did, and I have it. Having that knowledge has been empowering because I know what I need to do and avoid as a person with this mutation. I know that tidbit doesn't have much to do with magnesium, but my point is that the guy really knows what he's talking about when it comes to health and nutrition. So I am pretty happy to see his line of supplements are now available on amazon as well. Since Gary Breka is a co founder of 10x, I know that the supplements 10x produces will not only ACTUALLY contain what they are supposed to, but I also know that these supplements are going to contain the most bioavailable version of that mineral or supplement. So I can trust that this form of magnesium is the best. As I embark on my health journey, I don't want to shop based on fads or what is on sale. I need to rely on a company that makes the very best. And honestly, I also would prefer to make Gary Breka a little richer for helping me even though he doesn't know who I am. ... show more

I have been using this magnesium supplement for about a week now. It helps relax and calm my legs and works comparable to other brands I have tried. It had a plastic seal around the outside of the lid and an internal one under the lid. The bottle was filled almost to the top without wasted space. For a 30 day supply these are a little on the pricey side. I took off two stars for the following reasons. The inside of the bottle was covered in powder from the capsules. I noticed it as soon as I removed the interior seal. All the capsules are covered in powder as well which makes a mess when you pour them out and leaves a tangy taste on your tongue that I did not enjoy. The capsules are also much larger than others I have used and you have to take 2 of them to get 300 mg of Magnesium. While the description claims that these are made in the USA and lab tested, it is not printed anywhere on the bottle itself. Other magnesium supplements I have tried that claimed the same things actually had them printed on their product so I am not positive how believable those claims are. Overall this is an ok product but I will not be purchasing it again due to the above reasons. ... show more

This is a basic magnesium citrate supplement, it's easy on the stomach and absorbs very well. The capsules only contain 150mg each rather than the typical 250mg commonly found in most magnesium pills, so you may need to take more than one a day depending on your needs.

The capsules are very large although I do not see the size noted On the bottle. The pill is about the width a quarter in length and about 4+ quarters tall. See pictures It has secure packaging with a clear wrap around the cap and a foam foil. Heat seal inside as well. I just opened one to show the powder and a photo and it definitely has that citrate sour flavor which was quite nice tasting, so I just put the open capsule in my mouth and notice warm developing quickly in the saliva which was interesting. Nothing to be scared of, we probably all could use some magnesium in our life One thing you will notice is the light powder residue when you’re grabbing capsules so be careful if you’re pouring this out and you don’t want to clean it up The capsules may have some fine totter on there outside, but it’s fine. Just remember to wash your hands or you may end up with a sticky residue once the magnesium gets damp or your skin. I’m not sure if these are hand loaded or machine loaded but overall they’re fine if you could swallow them down I have a narrow throat and although I can take different aspirins or ibuprofen and other little pills, all at one time, it’s the ones like this capsule that will get stuck because the slightest bit and moisture on them mix it outside a little sticky and it can get easily in your throat, so be prepared and have a drink or something that you and swallow behind this. I don’t have a way to measure the magnesium, but I’m sure they’re just fine as it’s just white Crystal and powder with the citrate at the end it does have a bit of a sour taste From the powder Residue. I am trying a bunch of their products because I like the simplicity of the design and the black luster bottle, which is a bonus for me too many things and they missed the whole point of the vitamin. I should have another one coming out very soon and overall very pleased and I will highly recommend that you buy this product as long as you don’t mind a little Residue or being prepared to have something to wash it down with. The bottom line is it takes larger capsule to give you the amount of product or else I would be swallowing to small capsules. I use a 21 day Pill dispenser and I have noticed this large capsule makes me have to verify all the pills came out that’s just part of taking supplements. I hope this helps. ... show more

I opened up the bottle and gave a sniff - not recommended - It has no smell, but there was a bit of dust in there that made my eyes water a little bit. The capsules are filled all they way. They have no taste. The expiration date is 23 months in the future. I like that the extra effort was put in my the manufacturer to perforate the protective cellophane wrap for easy removal. ... show more
