    • Every unit is not accurate
Why does one buy any level? Well, to use to ensure that what you are installing is level, right, but if the level you use is not indicating a tru level surface, then anything you use it for will come out wrong. These are great little handy devices, but unfortunately, their manufacturing process I’d not controlled within good enough limits. Having seen the reviews, I was a skeptic, but the price was so cheap, I thought I’d get them to see if I could use a couple of them as a handy addition to my range box to ensure my rifle sights are leveled properly. When the 6 levels arrived, I set them up on a couple of 4 foot levels set up as perfectly level. I used two to ensure that what I was checking them against was accurate. I put each of them on the long levels, and rotated each one to test each of its four sides. Only 3 of the 6 would measure level and each of those were only level in one position of rotation. One other was close to level in one position, so I glued that one to a magnet and adjusted it so it now reads level with the glued magnetic base. I marked the others so I know the only rotation position to use them to be correct. The remaining two I am just discarding. If you are willing to go through the effort I just did, then about half of them can be made to work, otherwise, they are simply inaccurate and will lead you to crookedly this mount whatever you use them for. ... show more

    • It's a cheap level
It's a cheap level, and as many posters have stated, you need to find what side is the level side. It's not that hard to figure out, just put them on a level table, and keep flipping till the bubble is in the center. This level is small, which is what I was looking for. I found the level side, then used some two sided tape and attached it to my action camera so I can visually see if I am level, and if not, make adjustments to my shoulder mount. The level itself is easy to read. It's a standard florescent yellow, with two black guide lines for centering. It's also viewable from all sides. Overall, if you are looking for a small cheap level, it's worth it. If you are looking for a professional level or where centering is a must all the time, you should probably look elsewhere. But if you are like me, and just need a ballpark level, that accurate most of the time, and even if it's not exactly level it won't affect you much, then this would be satisfactory. ... show more

    • How accurate do you want? How much resolution?
There are small variations in these levels. I just measured one and two sides differed by .002 inches which would be 0.6 degrees across the length so it is not a precision instrument but really? What I found was that when the bubble hits one of the lines, the level is about 1 degree from when the bubble is centered. The photos some have posted showing the variation might be 2 degrees off level. But as others have said, every side is different. In my case, I wanted to show if an auto pilot was level. I set up the auto pilot on my bench with a digital level and shimmed it to level. Then I put the best of the 6 bubble levels on the case and it didn't show level. The case was not level when the overall unit was level. So I searched for one of the bubbles that showed level in that spot and taped it down. Point is, you have to consider what you are trying to accomplish and if you want to know if something is within 1 degree and can take the time to measure the bubbles these will work just fine. I am confident that in a package of 6 and 4 sides one of the 24 combinations will be just fine for what you are trying to do. If you want 6 that work perfectly regardless of which side you use, and you want to know within 0.1 degree, this is not for you. ... show more

You can't expect much for this price. All of them are accurate IF you find the right side. Two of the sides are accurate on each one (opposite sides) and 2 sides are not (on most of them). If you figure out what sides are good and mark them, there's no issue. These won't replace a quality level, but they're not bad for around $1 each. ... show more

    • Quite workable, if not quite precision levels
As you should expect at the price, these are not precision scientific devices. I get slightly different readings from each of the 6, depending on which of the 4 faces is down. By using a precision level as a reference, I was able to determine that each one did have at least one face on which it would read essentially correctly. ... show more

As others have reported, these are not very accurate. Photo attached on a calibrated precision leveled surface plate. You'll either have to have an adjustment mechanism in what ever you're going to use them in, or hope you get a good one in the lot, and have some way to figure that out. They're cheap and the packaging is convenient, but may be frustrating if you can't overcome the quality issue. ... show more

I bought these so I could level things obviously, but after a while I was perplexed on the readings. I put them all in a row on a perfectly flat surface and every single one of them gives me a DIFFERENT reading (different bubble position). I'm not sure how you can screw up a simple bubble level, but clearly these were not made with any kind of accuracy in mind or I got a bad batch. Do not buy! ... show more
