Got this because the big metal crate was too heavy and bulky. This soft version is super light and folds into a smaller bag that’s super easy to transport in the car. I got a large and my 50 lb dog fits in great, but NOT big enough for me to feel comfortable to lock/zip him up in. And not sure there’s be enough air flow anyway if it’s too warm (reason for 4, not 5 stars). It’s just for him to feel safe and snooze in. My dog is not destructive so soft material is not a problem. This looks nicer in the room too. Can’t pile stuff on top like you can the hard metal or plastic ones, but no biggie. Worth being able to transport so easy. Pad it comes with is cute and washable. Overall, exactly what I wanted for my pup! He loves it 🐾 ... show more

Does tip over- but my lab pup does not care about tipping it to get comfy. The cover for the pad did rip rip- easy fix. **It does have stakes to prevent tipping for outside use. Easy to assemble and pack-even holding onto pup while I have done so. Would have only docked 1/2 ⭐️

    • Lightweight, larger than expected. Flexible floor (can be either good or bad).

The crate is larger than expected (make sure you really understand exactly how large it is before ordering) I was going to place it on the back seat of my car for traveling, but it may be too large to do that. The crate comes with a nice storage bag. UNBOXING NOTE: Be very careful when cutting the tape open at the end of the carboard box, or you'll accidently cut the storage bag material. Out of the box, the material seems light and flimsy, but folding the ends up and zipping up around them creates the sturdiness necessary for the crate to stay open and upright. The floor of the crate, however, is just thin, flexible material. It comes with a fluffy floor pad, but the pad is also flexible. If you plan to place the crate on a solid floor in the back of an SUV, it will work fine, but this crate is not designed to be placed on an uneven car back seat seat. Bottom Line: I feel like it is overpriced for what it is, but not so much that I want to return it. I just need to rethink how I will use it and it will work fine for my docile cat. ... show more

Expensive for what you get. I was looking for a very lightweight crate and I achieve that by purchasing this one but to my surprise it cost the same as those that have metal bracing to reinforce them. My dog is always cold so I appreciate the fact that the side and back mesh can be covered/closed. After using for two weeks now I can see the fact it did not have steel braces was not a factor for my two-year-old miniature dachshund. However she did prove that she has Houdini genes and was unable to unzip the front mesh and get her self out. I solved this problem by finding a twisty tie and tying together the two zipper slide/pulls and then the dog was unable to get herself out of the crate. Overall served the purpose for our vacation/flight and needing a crate that would not add much weight to the suitcase and yet give the dog her own location to sleep at night. ... show more

At first I was skeptical and did not like that this soft side crate didn’t have the rods in the top and bottom and was worried about it holding its shape. Once fully zipped up, this crate holds its shape fine and I appreciate how light weight it is. I’m currently using the medium sized crate to hold a chihuahua. I could have gotten the small crate but was hoping that it would work for both my chihuahua to fit in here and I could carry it up to my home office upstairs so they could be with me while working from home. The crate would work fine for this, but the chihuahuas don’t want the other one in the crate at the same time. That being said, I can easily carry it upstairs during the day and bring it downstairs at night. One of my rescue chihuahuas was severely neglected and had emotional trauma as a result. He loves this crate as his safe space. I love that the sides can roll up uncovering the side mesh so that light can come in from the two sides. The only thing you may want to purchase with this is a little carabiner clip so that you can clip both zippers together if your fur baby is smart enough to unzip from the inside. ... show more
