This inverter is a great buy! I installed it into my truck camper to run a small 120VAC Fridge/Freezer from a Group27 Deep Cycle Battery. The inverter ran the fridge for 3 days without any issues. It supplies enough surge power to get the compressor running with a struggle or blown fuses. It's installed, tucked down under a cabinet, and is very quiet during use. The remote display is feature-packed and shows voltage, power, operating temperature and load information that is updated in nearly real-time (a few millisecond delay). It is bright enough for easy viewing during the day and can be turned off at night to provide darkness while sleeping. The inverter is easy to mount with the integrated stand-off brackets that provide 4 screw holes that are easily accessed from the top. The "smart" fans stay off until the unit reaches a set temperature where cooling is necessary. Unfortunately, the included battery cables were too short for my installation needs and went unused. Keep in mind if you install this inverter more than a few feet away from the battery source, a heavy gauge of cable should be used to prevent overheating and a DC voltage drop. Reference a wiring chart to confirm the size you need, but larger cables are always better in this situation. The included battery terminal covers help prevent accidental shorts from conductive materials. I tested the inverter under heavy load, and it seems to perform well and at the rated spec. Also, the battery cutoff voltage is true to spec, which is a feature that has been a problem in other inverter models I've reviewed on Amazon. The voltage displayed on the remote-control panel are true voltages, which were confirmed with a reliable multimeter. Again, other inverters have been shown to display values that are off by 10-15% which is unacceptable for my use-case. This inverter would pair nicely with a 400Watt solar/battery bank setup for long term use while camping off-grid. ... show more

Okay, you're not going to be able to use this device for high load devices, such as a coffee maker. But for charging a phone or laptop, this will get the job done. It does vibrate a bit. You might want to keep an eye on the heat of the inverter.

I received my 1500 watt pure sinewave Inverter in short order. It was easy to install. However, the remote controller did not display any data. I contacted Captok via email for tech support. They responded the same day. I received a new cable and remote controller in just a few days, but it did not resolve my issue. Another email. Captok sent me another complete inverter kit. The new inverter and remote controller works perfectly. I have not received customer service of this high quality for a very long time! Their response and action was OUTSTANDING! Highly recommended. It’s been working flawlessly for the past month. The displays are spot on regarding output power. The remote display is very helpful as the inverter is tucked away. Integrated bluetooth monitoring would be awesome, but not required.

I bought two of these, and i'm on the second one. I'm sad to report that the first inverter failed in under two months. Since I was beyond 30 days, Amazon could not offer much help and I'm not sure how to contact the seller. That's a lot of money to waste. Please contact me if you are the seller. The CAPTOK 500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter is well built in a heavy aluminum case designed to dissipate heat. It has an excellent information display to keep the operator informed of important issues such as load, battery state of charge, input and output voltage values. It has an inverter on/off switch, two three-prong sockets and one each USB A and USB C sockets. The highest load that I have placed on this inverter is 175W - no challenge to it's 500W continuous load rating. It ran cool with the internal cooling fan turning on infrequently. The fan is very quiet. This is a good choice for a fixed installation battery backup system requiring less than 500W of AC power. ... show more
