We installed this over the bathroom door which is where a lot of the sun comes in during the day. Makes it much easier to sleep after working overnight shift. It was easy to install and remove and does a great job at completely blocking out the light. It is actually hard to get a good picture showing it. Both pictures are in the middle of the day, one is with the bedroom light off, one is with it on. No light gets through these things! I decided to use black "duct tape" to put it up with because I always keep my curtains closed. I go to bed in the early and want all light blocked from my windows, this WORKS. The material is "clothy" on one side and "rubbery" on the other. It is thin, but it doesn't tear easily and does the job. As you can see in one of the pictures. There was PLENTY enough for me to do both windows in my room. Now... If you use the Velcro, just like any other blackout, light will get in from the top and sides. But that is to be expected, and should not be too bad depending on how well you install them. Could be user error lol, but I found the sticky circles near useless. They are really hard to peel the paper off one side, they bunch up, stick to themselves, stretch and are just all round hard to use. But if you can get them to work, they would be much better than the Velcro. The few I did try worked well, and were very sticky. Overall, I love it, would recommend. ... show more

We got these blackout curtains to cover windows in a garage so that the sunlight wouldn't come in as well as for security. The curtains come with both Velcro strips and more permanent adhesive dots. This way you can decide if you want it permanently installed or if you want to be able to remove it. It does a great job of blacking out the room. This is especially helpful if trying to watch a movie with a projector during the day. I really like the fact that the panel can be cut to the shape and size needed so multiple windows can be covered with a single panel. Will be buying again for our new house. ... show more

Was looking for a room darkening curtain when I ran across this material. At first glance, it might seem too thin to be effective but it works great! My bedroom is actually a converted porch that the previous owners enclosed. But there are a lot of windows and doors and light filters in from the street at night, making it a little challenging to filter out. But I needed something that I could move aside to look out the door sometimes. There is a lot.. The pic I attached is 27 width and 73 inches long for that door and there easily twice that much material left. I like the white backing that faces into my room. Comes with adhesive dots for a more permanent fit and adhesive, Velcro strips that allows for removal. The Velcro strips work great in my situation. The fabric was easy to cut and hanging was a breeze. Took me less than ten minutes from start to finish. Highly recommend. ... show more

I have a double glass door which gets full hot sun from afternoon to sunset. It can raise the temperature 5-7 degrees above the A/C setting. I thought this would at least help a bit, but it definitely DOES NOT. The A/C is set on 69 and the Room is 76. I realize NC has a real heat wave going on, but this product did not help lower the room temp AT ALL. Total junk for that purpose. Returned the second one unopened. ... show more

This one is super thin. Would’ve preferred to have beigh and silver rather than beige and black. Easy to cut. Not enough loops and hooks. The double sided sticky circles makes it harder to take this blackout curtain down. Measure twice and cut once.

The good is it works perfectly. The bad is that it works so well that any other light leaks are then noticeable. I used it as a seeable backing after just using the sticky Velcro. Recommend a better adhesive bc the dots fell off the other material.
