I have a well and sediment can be a problem, so I use a whole house filter to catch it. This 5 micron whole house filter seems to be doing the job. I had a bit of trouble getting it to seat properly since it didn't have any top/bottom gaskets like the other 5 micron filters I had been using, but I eventually got it to fit. I haven't noticed any problems with water pressure - so far, so good. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This whole-house filter fits perfectly into my Culligan WH-HD200-C Heavy Duty water filter housing. It seems well made but I cant currently attest to how well it works for about another month when this will be installed. What I CAN currently say is that it fits and doesn't move when in the clear Culligan housing. Once installed, I should be able to see how much gunk it traps due to Culligan's clear glass housing. I've attached a video of what this looks like once opened and also installed in the filter housing. I'll update this review in a couple months and let you know how well it works. Got this to use in the first stage of my whole-house sediment filtration system. I usually use a 5 micron filter in the first stage, and a 1 micron in the second. After using this one for about a month, I opened the system to have a look. The filter is definitely catching sediment before it reaches the second filter. Works as advertised, and seems to be of at least equal quality to the ones I usually get for $30 a piece! ... show more

I recently purchased this sediment filter for the big blue filters on my point well water system and I am very happy with the results. The filter is very effective at removing minerals and sediment from my water, which I need before the water passes into the ph balancing media. The filter is very easy to install and fit into the housing the same way that the previous baffle filters I was using had fit.
