I used this 5 lb bag of shredded memory foam to augment the old, flattened Styrofoam bead stuffing on a large "Big Joe" beanbag chair. I was afraid 1 bag wouldn't be enough, but once it started puffing up, it was the perfect amount. It's more supportive than the bead filling alone was, and I love that it won't break down and go flat. I ordered the smallest size to add filling to a very deflated bean bag ottoman, and ended up just replacing the old filling completely with this. You get a lot of filling! The reference photo actually makes it seem like you get less filling since it says the 5lb bag can fill a pillow but I feel that 5lb bag can fill a lot more, like a large dog bed. Just be careful when you cut the packaging open because the foam starts to inflate quickly, just cut a small hole and grab what you need. ... show more

These fillings (memory form) are expensive at stores, so this is a great value. It comes compressed so when you open it, unless you use it all up, tear a small hole on the bag and pull out as much as needed and keep/store the rest as compressed. Otherwise, the volume will be big. I staffed my hug pillow which needed some filling up. Form pieces are big enough to grab and fill in easily (unlike those grain-type fillings). No mess. No smell at all. Once filled, you can easily shape/spread/adjust from outside. It has a good bouncing power too. I used only a little (less than 1 lb) to refill my pillow. It expands a lot so 5 lbs is a lot. Color is nice too. Great product. ... show more

I'm not sure what the problem was with this filling, but when opening the pack and pulling out the filling, it was warm and humid in the middle. I couldn't see any obvious leaking of liquid coming out or seeping in, so it was very puzzling and disturbing. There was no smell to it, but I will probably throw this out to be safe. If there was a problem of something leaking in, then they should work to seal this pack better. If the moisture was there at packaging time, then they should let this stuff dry out before packing. ... show more

Ordered these as most bean bags for sale these days are "no fill". In looking for filling for niece's bean bag, I decided to give the foam filling over the beads a chance. Glad I did. The gel and foam make it so comfy that one can doesn't want to get out of the chair. Filling the liner was a bit tricky because of the liner, so have patience when filling.
