I bought this item because it was much cheaper than the Dorman/Help! branded adjustment screws because this has 10 screw/retainers while the Dorman item is only 2 screw/retainers per package (enough to service only 1 beam). It was suggested to me that the plastic retainers on this brand last longer t
han the Dorman parts and since the plastic retainer is what goes bad with these items, that is an important consideration. 10 screw/retainers means there are enough parts to service all the headlight beams on your vehicle and allow for dropping and losing 2.

These seem to be more robust than others I have worked with
Pretty sturdy and worked well! Good value for money.

I'm glad I purchased these and wish I would have thought of getting them sooner. After 37 years, two of my headlight adjusters failed within the past month on my 1983 C10 pickup. I bought a pair of replacement adjusters from the auto parts store for almost 6 bucks. Expensive parts but cheap products
and in less than a month they were both stripped out and headlights pointed towards the ground. I purchased these adjusters from Amazon and they did not disappoint me. They fit very well and the run-on torque is strong, almost too strong, so these will definitely hold for a long time. You may want to pre-thread these before installation. For less than double the price of a pair, I received 10 quality adjusters, so I will have spares a long ways into the future. These ARE the ones you need and want if you have an 70-80's model C10. I am very happy with this purchase. If you think these are the ones for your vehicle, have no fear, they will work.

Fits 82 GMC C1500 perfectly
Was a perfect fit for 82 GMC C1500 pickup truck. Recommend replacing all 8 sets. (10 supplied) Not only were the old nylon "nuts" stripping & deteriorating, but the old screws were also rusted.

Can work for a 4 headlight model
I have a 1991 Suburban with the four headlights. This part is not a drop in. There was a reviewer on here that used this for a later model that uses the same part number. He advised to trim the “wings” and it would work. This is what I did and I did manage to make it work (for now). However you must
use the new screws as the originals are to thin use with these. With GM wanting $11+ for one drop in, I can deal with this for 10 of them for the same price.

High quality replacement for your vintage car or truck.
Don't even think about buying the cheap parts store equivalent. I inherited my late grandfather's 96 K1500 w/t with the sealed beams, and one of the OE adjuster assemblies broke. Went to the neighborhood auto parts shop, and well...felt I would've been better off air drying toothpaste and molding it
to shape than buy the ridiculously cheap and brittle version made by a company which I will not name here (*hint it starts with D and rhymes with Norman). After two weeks of my GM driving around cockeyed I stumbled upon these. Probably better than OEM.

Closest Reproduction to O.E. I have found.
Nylon fit is perfect, if you have an original bolt I recommend you use it to rethread from the back. Reason is the Phillip head is not #2, on the Reproduction. And the Reproduction doesn't have the starter shaft before the taper threads. Once threaded, install and use the supplied screw. Set to the s
ame length as the original ( you should start from the original position, and lookup wall adjustments for headlamps). Repeat for the next adjuster. Check adjustment for first lamp repair, before doing the second lamp. Don't neglect the 25 ft. Check. If your lamps go up, you could cause an accident. If in doubt get it professionally adjusted, the repairs are the expensive part of a Lamp Adjustment.

Different shape, not an exact replacement, but it works better than the OEM
This shaft needs only a phillips driver to adjust and is thicker than the original (which is good). Only problem is it's made to fit into sheet metal hole, whereas my 2007 Chevy Express Van has thick plastic. It took a few minutes with a razor knife to shorten the snap out tabs by about 1/16", which
was well compensated by the ease of alignment, as the former specialty adjustment tool is now a phillips tip in my cordless drill.

These ARE the adjusters you're looking for
These are the headlight adjusters to buy if you've got an early 80s C10. They are a million times better than the Dorman adjusters sold by most parts stores. These come with the adjuster screws separate from the plastic base and they take a little bit of force to get screwed in because they are cutti
ng their own threads into the plastic. I would suggest running the screws through the base prior to install. This may require using a pair of pliers to have the base while tightening the screw. Once assembled these snap solidly into place with an audible click and stay there. The Dorman brand clips don't snap into place properly and often break on install. Not the case with these.
