What I like about this manuka honey and avocado skin and scalp treatment: - manuka honey is known for healing and antibacterial properties - the cream is soothing and not greasy or oily - the scent is clean and not overwhelming (the advertisement says it’s fragrance free, which I think means they did not add any scent) - it smells slightly eucalyptus-menthol-ish, like tea tree oil (which is one of the ingredients, although it’s at the bottom of the list) - it spreads nicely, so a little goes a long way - it did not irritate my skin - no rashes, redness, or bumps after using it - it’s plant-based Things to note: - Until it’s rubbed in, it turns the skin a small bit yellow - it feels cooling and tingly on the skin I’m using it on a persistent patch of dry, painful skin on my elbow, and so far, it’s calmed the irritation. ... show more

The honey was a small bottle and didn’t last long. But it did make my skin super soft. It even helped with some of the rough callous spots I had on my foot. However, I bought it in December and it’s now February and I noticed that the lotion is it isn’t as creamy as it used to be it’s sticking up in Harden so if you’re gonna use it, you need to use it fast, that’s the only negative thing that I can say about it. Smells mild but pleasant with a bit of menthol. It is brightly colored, but doesn't stain the skin heavily, leaves a slight saffron hue. A little goes a long way! No greasy feel after, but still feels like it did something.

The ingredient list on this looks to have a fair number of oils. The few ingredients are avocado, manuka honey and water. If you cook you know what that essentially makes when whipped. The consistency is that of a very thick mayo. Changes some on room temperature. I would keep away from warmer areas to avoid separation issues. It is also brightly colored, about that of safety yellow. It doesn't list what grade of manuka honey is used. The aroma is light, but present. If you know the smell of avocado oil imagine that mixed with honey and a bit of tea tree zing. Seems to moisten as expected on dry elbows and such. I have found that a little goes a very long way. Some light yellow staining happened when I used too much. Went away after working it in and time. When it dries is when I get the faint tea tree aroma. It sticks around a bit.
