This pump is small and makes it very manageable to operate. The protective cage is nice because it keeps the larger debris from being sucked into the pump. I had smaller pieces that got through which I had to keep cleaning out.. Also, you cant seem to get to the last 3/4 of an inch out due to how the intake is situated on the pump.
