Comes with 2 grating wheels, this is a fantastic tool to grate fresh parmigiano reggiano onto your meals. This is the 2nd one of these I've owned; the first one was stolen by a roommate. it's very durable/well made, strong plastic (I tend to kind of manhandle my tools). Upper level dishwasher save incl grating wheels and body of grater. Kinda also just nice to look at, it's pretty. Easy to clean-every surface is easily accessable if you want to hand wash. For the dishwasher I just open the device like a pair of scissors and lay it on the top rack. really, just a nice tool. Oh, you can put the blades in either for Right handed folks or us lefties.     • Clever Design of a Useful Tool

Compact grater works better than alternatives for larger jobs. Our flat grater works well for small jobs and a micro grater is used almost daily for Parmesan or zesting citrus. The Zulu’s is used for dinner party grating of Parmesan, soft cheeses, chocolate, carrots, etc. It is much faster and neater for such jobs and cleanup is simple and easy - yes, it takes longer than a flat grater but overall it saves time. The only drawbacks seen in several years of use are (1) that some jobs require good hand strength: hard chocolate, carrots and hard cheese because the handle is short, giving minimal leverage, and the grip hand requires squeezing the top down, and (2) the springs fell off the handle a few years ago. The springs are superfluous and it works just as well without them because of the design. The tricky bit is knowing when the spring pops out so it doesn’t end up in the food. Zyliss should just delete the spring. Perhaps they have done so. ... show more

the unit itself is very solid, i own a restaurant and wanted a sturdy unit. the problem , the little knob to grind with is absurd, there is no leverage when you are grating a hard cheese like parmesan,i am going to try and modify

This product is very hard to use. I thought it was just too big for my hands but my husband hates it too. I can't hold it and push down on the cheese feeder at the same time. It's very difficult to turn. I'll probably only use it a few more times before throwing in the trash. I do not understand how people like it at all.
