My daughter’s feet are ALWAYS cold, but socks never stay on her; her feet are narrow and have the world’s longest baby toes, and socks just slide right off. I bought these to help keep her socks on and her feet warm. Baby shoes tend to fall right off of her, too, but because these ones come up her leg a little and snap, they haven’t gone anywhere. These are the first things to stay on her feet! My daughter just turned 3 months last week, and I ordered the 6 month size since some reviews mentioned the shoes run small; those reviews were NOT kidding. Maybe it’s because of her crazy long toes, but there isn’t any room in these for her to grow into.     • Very nice fit but fall off

I really wanted to like these booties. I like how they fit on the foot without looking baggy, and I liked the material. However I have two problems with them: 1) the non-skid material is almost useless. It's not grippy at all, more like smooth plastic. My son is just now starting to practice standing on his own didn't have any traction in these booties. 2) These booties fall off. Constantly. I wish there was a third snap to make them tighter. My baby didn't even try to pull them off, they would just slide off as he crawled around in them or cursed around furniture. Zutano is the only pair of booties that this active baby can't remove. They mold perfectly to his feet and the snaps are in the exact right place to keep them on and still allow them to be comfortable. Other booties we have tried have fallen off, and this baby thinks it's a game to try and remove them - but he doesn't even realize he's wearing the Zutano's. They are stylish in fabulous patterns that go with most of his clothes, and they are not bulky like other brands we've tried. We even bought this last pair a little bit large so he can get more wear out of them, but the small amount of extra room does not affect the fit at all.     • Best alternative for socks, especially for newborns! Don’t hold up quite as well as I hoped.

UPDATE on first review: So I forgot to mention, that my son crawled around a lot on our wood floors with these a lot, so I ended up washing them. After about making 6 times a washing them as recommended, the bottoms fell apart and starting tearing off leaving just the mesh behind so I had to toss them. I have now bought a third pair though, and I still wouldn’t buy any other brand BECAUSE I tried and hated them all. These are still the best baby booties and best alternative to socks, ESPECIALLY for newborn! Second pair I have bought. Zutano booties were go to when my son was a newborn, I NEVER put socks on him because they would just come off, so Zutano booties it was! I have bought a pair for every age. The only reason I took off a star was because they don’t hold up as well as I had hoped, I just bought 18 months in gray, and the last ones my son had needed to be tossed in the garbage as all that remained was the white netting after the fabric rubs off the bottom and he was picking pieces of the fabric off and putting them them in his mouth, no good, so in the trash they went. I had laundered them several times in cold wash on gentle cycle and hung dry and they still didn’t hold up like they should. But honestly, i tried a different pair on Amazon that LOOKED similar and they were awful and I ended up sending them back and buying Zutano. I won’t buy any other brand. I wish they had more colors in the cotton grippers. ... show more

Edit: they are starting to fall apart with regular wear and washing. I will not be purchasing any additional pairs. Very sad because they fit my little and look so cute. They fit well. I expected them to be a little bigger on my little's foot, but they fit perfect. The snap adjust accommodate fatter feet so definitely nice regardless of your kiddos foot chub. I got the space design (black background) and have washed them twice. The first wash was pre-wearing, the second because my little loves running around in them so they've gotten grungy. After this second wash they have started to fade a little. Definitely recommend either lighter designs or plain for this reason. They also don't stretch lengthwise (very sturdy design) so if your little's feet are growing, you might want to pick a size up. Definitely would love these in adult sizes! 😁 ... show more

This is the only thing that would stay on baby's feet when they are young. I tried other brands and cheaper knock offs - no, they don't stay on. The Zutano boots stay in place, thanks to the snaps. I like that it is adjustable (there's two positions for the snaps), and the sizing seems to be spot on. I continued to buy the next size up for my son up until 18 months of age. At that point I realized he would rather just wear socks (when at home) or regular shoes (when outside) so we didn't see a need to continue to using those. ... show more

    • Good quality, but falls off a lot

We were advised by our pediatrician to only dress our baby in 100% cotton, so these baby booties were specifically chosen for that. Unfortunately, 100% cotton tends to be expensive and these booties were pricier than other options out there. A warning that these DO RUN SMALL. Measure your babies foot by inches instead of age because that will more accurately help you decide which size to choose. They did not shrink in the wash which was great. A small problem is that these booties fall of my baby's foot a lot, even when snapped on the smallest setting. I can't afford to keep replacing these things, so I spend a lot of time monitoring my kid's feet to make sure they're both covered.     • Perfect for AFOs and indoor use!

These were recommended for my child to wear with his AFOs as his feet are too small for regular shoes. They were a little tight initially (I had to fasten them on the second button), but they stretched to a perfect fit by the next day. I haven't washed or dried them yet, so I don't know how that will affect things. The fabric is thin, but very comfortable.
