    • Great quality but there are issues.

Quality of the unit is great. It's solid and appears to be well built. Mounting was rock solid and startup was a breeze. First day it worked flawlessly. Next morning it quit notifying us when it sensed motion and turned on. It still turned on and recorded perfect but just wouldn't notify us. Turned the unit off and back on and it started notifying us again but within a few hours stopped again. Bought three and the other two never notified us. Still recorded well and with great quality just would not notify us. Bought these mainly to be able to monitor the exterior of the house whenever we wanted and wasn't really concerned about the notifying deal in the first place but it would be nice if it worked as advertised. Probably will end up purchasing a dedicated doorbell camera and move one of these to a different location. Still like being able to go check motion activated occurrences quickly in the morning. UPDATE: Looks like the motion sensing as now stopped working as well. These were all charged 8-10 hours before use. Now they are simply a monitoring camera. Unfortunately I cannot just sit and monitor them.... UPDATE 2: This is after a week or so of using the cameras...I messaged Zumimall support about the issues I was having and they responded the next day. They asked for my Amazon order number and the serial number of the camera (shown on the label of camera). I provided the information and the next day while checking the camera on the app, noticed a small red dot over that camera selection. There was an update required for that camera. It took about 45 minutes to download and install to the camera but everything with the camera has been fine now. I went ahead and sent in the serial numbers for the other two as well and the every next day same thing. Both cameras required an update. I was told if something happens and a camera does not update properly, to email them and they will either refund or replace. The second two cameras took 2-3 hours to download the update (BE PATIENT!!) The cameras are working fine now. Keep all this in mind if you purchase this. Most likely you will need to download an update to get the current firmware and it may look like the download and install is locked up on the app but be patient. The first camera I had to turn off and back on after the update. The other two cameras did not have to be restarted. Hope this helps someone else. ... show more
