One of the enclosures had a very small nick at the edge of the top cover. Quite honestly, this would not bother the majority of users, as it was so minor. I do tend to be picky about these things. It would very possibly have happened as a result of Amazon shipping them in a thin plastic bag, and not in a box with packing around them. The surface of the enclosure is shiny plastic which shows fingerprints readily. This may or may not be an issue, depending on the application; I just thought it was worth mentioning. Four holes are included for fixing the box to a structure without compromising the weatherproof seal, as is common with these types of enclosures. Good value, and seems fairly sturdy. I bought this project box to create a junction for 3 wires. The holes to the outside were sealed with liquid rubber (you know the stuff...he makes a boat with a screen-door bottom spray-coated with it!). The included gasket needs just a little stretching during installation to get the ends to meet. Good little box. ... show more

I bought this to house some circuitry I cobbled together to create a timed cut-out of my motorcycle flashers. I would have preferred two small boxes, but this ended up being fine and holding both circuit boards. The box has 6 blind mounts in the bottom and I used them to mount threaded screws as mounting posts. The box is precise, fit is perfect, seal is exemplary. How about the same product in a smaller version with standard pattern mounts? RadioShack could do it, why not you guys? Two boxes for $8 was a bargain. Solid, well made little project box, better than I expected for the price. It hasn’t rained here since I installed the antenna matching balun I put into it so I can't attest to it’s water resistance yet but the o-ring type seal seems good. Works great for everything solar related. Cuts fairly easily but plastic is strong enough to keep connections insulated and dry. Machine screws tighten up nicely and gasket seems good too.
