I originally bought this to use with our pool pump and extension cord. Love that it’s waterproof! We had one instance of it filling with water after a heavy rainstorm, but otherwise it’s been great. I now use this outside with our Christmas lights and extension cords. Very happy with the ability to use it for multiple things 🙂 The only downside is one of the clips doesn’t latch very well. The box size is nice. I wish it allowed for a larger gauge cord but it works. My only issues are the grommets fall out so be careful of that. Also, the material is thin. After being outside for less than a week, it warped so when I opened it, I couldn't close it again. I had to take it inside, warm it up and straighten it out. I use heated hoses & have to run extension cords to plug them in. I’ve always worried about the plugs being exposed to the rain & snow, even though they’re rated for outdoor use. This has definitely solved my problems & alleviated my concerns. I have a 3 way triangle shaped extension plug in with 3 extension cords plugged into it. I had to position it just right so it would all fit, but it does all fit. The only small issue I had was in pressing the lid down enough to get the clamps on each end to latch securely. You’ll hear a snap when they’re fastened properly. There’s thick rubbery foam insulation that keeps everything weather tight & it doesn’t flex very easily, especially in the cold. Having a third hand would have helped, but there’s just me, so I find ways to do what needs to be done. I made sure the lid was positioned properly & all the extension cords were each in the notches for them. Then I kneeled on the top & fastened the clamps at each end. Now I know how strong it is…LOL I’m sure there’s a good seal all the way around & I don’t have to worry about driving rain or it getting covered with snow. And it has been completely covered with snow. I dug it out & opened it up to make sure the snow was staying on the outside & it was; the inside was completely dry. Bought this mostly because I needed an electrical splitter outside. It works well but be aware of the smell size. I chose this on purpose because it was small. It fits a “Y” splitter and that was what I needed. But it is tight and the box as my decorations have those square plugs on them

We have an outdoor cord running from our shed to an outside plug. The cord doesn't always need to be plugged in and isn't located in a spot in the shed that's easy to disconnect. This waterproof box allows us to cover the extension cord when it's not in use. I'd highly recommend it.

I knew that the size was going to be tight for my want but I was not expecting the sides to be flimsy and the closures to do an inadequate job of holding the top securely in place. Unfortunately, it will not work to my liking and I had to return it.
