I was shocked when I picked up the box and it says it weighed 24 pounds...this is a great quality, solid, sturdy stoneware set. I ordered the matte black with the white rim and they are exactly that, none came scratched or damaged. It comes with 4 mugs, 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 cool shaped "deep" bowls, 2 silver sponges and a card thanking you and giving the company's story. After continuous daily use and washing, there arent any scratches which is what I was afraid of. I havent used the included sponges just because I love the ones I always use and they seem scratchy compared to my normal sponges. The dishes, bowls, and mugs have held up well and theyre really nice to use as opposed to the plastic dishes and bowls we have been using plus theyre stoneware so you dont have to worry about any plastics leaking. I really love that I can put them in the microwave, the dishwasher and even the oven and theyll be fine. Ive never had dishes I could actually put in the oven so I am looking forward to figuring out something to make that I can utilize that perk. Overall I am extremely happy with this set and look forward to my family using it for years to come. ... show more

I recently moved into a new place and even though I had a set of dishes and bowls I wanted to get a second one for when I have a large group of people for dinner. My kitchen is red and black and my set is red so I decided to look for a black set. When I came across these, they looked absolutely perfect and completely my style so I went ahead and placed an order for them. When they arrived, I couldn’t believe how heavy the box was. When they say stoneware, they mean it! They have a bisque dry finish and they are very modern looking. I love the raised edges and the white border around the black. They look absolutely fantastic and They are great quality. Definitely a good deal for the price. I’ve paid a lot more for a lot lesser quality. This dinnerware set is fantastic. The classic white is also very modern. I absolutely adore that the plates have a raised edge all the way around. I have been looking for a set like this with that feature because it really keeps the food on the plate I love that you get, a 4 Piece setting which includes a very generous salad dessert plate. I like that the edge is raised because I like to eat in the living room in my chair and this way I don’t spill anything. It is heavy duty with an absolutely beautiful white finish. My husband unpacked this for me and came into the living room with one of the cups and said this is a great cup for coffee and well help. Keep it warm. That is so unusual for my husband to comment on any household item, he was so thrilled with a design of the whole set he never talks about dishes or anything like that lol that from a man of few words. The Zulay Kitchen Terra Stoneware Dinnerware set includes 4 ceramic white dinner plates, salad plates, soup bowls and coffee mugs. Aside from the elegant, modern look of this set, what really stood out to me was the quality of each piece. Each plate, bowl and mug in this set has thickness and weight to them that you typically won't find from cheap dinnerware at department stores. With care, this set should last for many years with care. I love that the dinner and salad plates are generously sized and have raised lips to help prevent food from spilling over the edge. The soup bowls and mugs have good depth, making them ideal for my daily morning cup of coffee and serving cereal and oatmeal at breakfast. This dinnerware set is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. These stack well, except the bowls are better in 2-stacks, and look great. I went with the white color, so that food is immediately visible when cleaning, and I plan to handwash for cleaning them. I've had stoneware break in the dishwasher before, so I do not plan to let that happen again. I have no idea on the durability of these; they arrived in mint condition with no cracks or fractures. High quality, thick and eye pleasing set of dishes. They are a lot thicker than my old dishes that I was able to put all on one shelf including the bowls, so I need two shelves for these. But, I love them! My husband loves the lip on the plates for some of the more soupy type recipes since it keeps everything on the plate. We are highly impressed with this set. We’ve used in the microwave with no issues but haven’t put them in the oven as they say oven safe. Also they are dishwasher safe. Highly recommend ... show more
