  • A fine, fun hybrid bike. Precise shifting; comfortable, responsive, and nice to ride.
Color: blue
I can highly recommend this hybrid bike, which is mostly on the road bike side but with a certain sturdiness and ability to take some minor bumps, somewhat better than most road bikes. To correct some typos in the height range specifications: This bike (according to eBay info there on this same Zukka bike) is for height range 5 foot 5 inches, through 6 foot 5 inches. (I am 5' 9 1/2" and it is just about right while pedaling, although slightly clumsy to get started out moving.) The box describes frame size as being 21 inches and I can straddle it but with only about 1 inch clearance rather than up to 3 inches which would also be okay size frame. The matte-style, but brightly-colored paint job seems strong and applied very well. Welds and graphics look good also. Assembly was easy and problem-free (firmly screwing on the front brake disc was easy enough; the seat post had a little trouble readily sliding into the frame but eventually got loose enough to do that ok). I made sure to tighten pedals quite securely with a beefier 15mm wrench than the little spanner that comes with the bike. I think a lot of the bike reviewers who report pedals falling off and losing threading, are not putting them on tight enough!! I also did a small tightening of the non-level-controlled side of the front brakes to tighten up the responsiveness of the front brake lever. The bike was packed very well. Wheels were true, derailleur adjustments already correct. Tires seem responsive enough, although maybe more slick than ideal for quick moves. I added some tension to the front brake cable so the levers could be more responsive, and did a 10 mile initial ride during which the front brake initially was squeaking a bit when not applied, but after about 6 miles the front brake quieted down and seems just right now; very accurate and powerful. I found there was some transmission of road flaws to the handlebars but this seems to be lessened if you grasp the bars with somewhat bent elbows to allow better shock absorption. (There are no dampers or suspension points on this bike.) My sense is that the "L-TWOO A5" shifting precision is very accurate and precise; somewhat more at the "Sora" or "Tiagra" or even "105" level vs. the clumsy "Tourney" that is common at this price level. And some downshifts do seem to work better (more immmediately) if you are not pushing hard on the pedals while shifting. At this current price point of $399, with bike prices having risen quite a bit for summer 2022 after the Covid problems of US and China, I expected a pretty primitive and heavy bike, but it seems to be quite light for the price (27 pounds) and precise-feeling for braking, shifting, steering. The 9-speed freewheel while a bit clumsy compared to a cassette seems very precisely built including various ramps/patterns on the teeth similar to those expected on cassettes. The action of the braking seems better / smoother / stronger, than that of a more low-end bike I tried out recently. Front shifting is also easy and highly accurate, with no need to flip levers twice to change one gear. Didn't have any problems of the chain coming off the crankset or freewheel gears, despite various bumps encountered. ... show more

  • Good value bike.
Color: gray
The bike shipped from a warehouse in the US, and arrived earlier than the estimated date when I placed the order. The box mine arrived in was in good shape, but without much padding inside I could see it being damaged if it was abused in shipping. For the price($300 currently) this bike offers a lot of features, so I went in expecting to do some assembly and tinkering to get it running smoothly. I have some mechanical experience working on other small vehicles and a basic set of tools. Some cheap tools were included with the bike but I used my own. The basic assembly was pretty intuitive but an instruction sheet is included. I looked over what was already assembled and didn't find any loose bolts but you should look yours over to be safe. Assembling the bike went smoothly but I did have to loosen and re-adjust the handlebars so they were straight once the front wheel was on. I also went in expecting to have to adjust the brakes and shifter cables to get good braking power and smooth shifting. This mainly just involved turning the adjustment knobs to tighten the cables and turning some screws on the rear shifting mechanism. Watching a few youtube videos gave me what I needed to do it myself. The only negative things I found when assembling the bike was an ugly cut on the bottom of the steering tube for the front forks, and the rear wheel being a little more out of round than I would like. The ugly cut is just cosmetic, I added a picture of this. I will hit it with a metal file at some point to make it look a little better. The rear wheel was not out of round enough to feel when riding but visually wobbled some as it rotated. I contacted the seller about it and they offered to reimburse me if I took it to a bicycle shop to be adjusted. I decided to just order a cheap spoke wrench and attempt it myself. After watching multiple videos about adjusting bicycle spokes and taking my time I got the wheel spinning very straight. Personally I was up for this challenge but I would understand if someone else wasn't, you could easily make the wobble worse if you weren't careful. After getting it dialed in how I want, I've really enjoyed riding the bike. The lowest gear makes some big hills near my house doable and the disc brakes make me comfortable bombing back down at top speed. On good pavement the ride is very smooth and the tires seem to have good traction. I feel you could cover a lot of ground with this bike if you wanted to. As long as you are capable and willing to get the bike assembled and dialed in, or take it to someone who can I feel like you are getting a lot for you money. ... show more

  • Good for its price
Color: gray
I am 5'5", which fits well for me, but I have longer legs than a typical 5'5" male. Loving it so far, I swapped out my pedals for something that grips better. Great breaks, easy to set up with enough time. Seems to get stuck sometimes shifting, but I figure it just needs to be tuned by a professional. Overall, I feel good about this purchase! ... show more

  • Great bike with small investment !
Unbelievable quality product for the price. I wanted to try 27 speed road bike to replace my heavier hybrid bike. Easy assembly with minimal adjustments to shifting and breaks. This bike has everything that$1000 plus bikes have except extreme lightweight frame !
