  • Adequate, but could be improved
Color: Black
Provides a basic steam spa experience, but has some issues, that could be addressed easily by manuf.. Assembly: 1. All the pieces required arrived in the bundle, packaged with very basic instructions in English and pictographs. 2. Not all the pieces were numbered, maybe 70% were actually labeled. 3. Of those numbered it was not immediately evident what the difference between 1 and 2, for example was. Same length, same diameter. 4. The plastic pole connectors form was not uniform; some grabbed the tent poles nicely, some did not. 5. The tent is what really holds the whole thing together, snuggly. Not surprising, but a bit difficult to get it cinched up together with one person. Nothing tore when I finished my assembly. 6. There is a "bottom piece" for the tent that is included that is not really mentioned in directions. But its label says: place it under the tent. Fine, good idea, guys! This is intended to be a condensation pan, to protect your floor. Only problem is: it is NOT fabricated to actually fit under the assembled tent --- too tight, and needlessly so, since it is a drip pan -- and could have been made a bit larger than the tent base ==so easily. 7. They also include another item without explanation, I believe it is a floor pad to protect the tent floor from early failure or dampness in use. It is cut to fit nicely. Nice addition guys! 8. Chair: No assembly required, it is a simple folding chair with a travel pouch. It fits nicely inside the tent, and is adequate for an 'average' US male, 170 lbs, five-nine, etc. Not sure if the 4 chair feet will play nice with the tent floor over time. 9. Steam generator tubes. The provided tubes (silicone?) don't really have enough length (outside) for my application. And they don't exactly 'fit' together. (There is a 'pass-through' bulkhead fitting, for example, to bring the steam inside the tent, but it doesn't mate up with the provided tubing on the outside of the tent. You have to just force that tubing onto the threaded portion, and hope it stays put). It would be better to provide a few more feet of exterior tubing, and an actual fitting intended to connect to it. Maybe there was a fitting missing from my kit. If so, it's not called out in the instructions however. 10. Steam generator. Basically a 1600 watt hot pot with a plastic lid, and two unidentified black fittings attached to the lid, in addition to the steam outlet connector. The steam connector is an odd fit, with the provided adapter, but able to make a quick connect to the steam pot. Has 16 levels of power and a count down timer, that defaults to 45 minutes. Easily adjustable from the panel or the remote. It takes about 10 minutes to make some steam into the tent, starting with cold water and about 2/3 of a tank. Over the course of 1st trial run it lost about 1 liter+ of water to evaporation during heat up and actual steam bath. So plenty of capacity for most normal usage. I assume if you filled to 4 liters, it would take a few minutes longer to start steaming. The power usage will work with a 15 amp circuit if nothing else is on. And you can dial the power down, if that's a problem, or if you want a gentler steam bath. 11. Remote control. A simple optical remote. Not waterproof, so it can't be used inside the tent. So you'll need to rig a pocket for it outside the door (not provided). Useage: Allow some time for warmup of the tent, at least 10 to 12 minutes on high starting with room temp water. The zippers are tending to bind up even at first use. That's very disappointing. And the zippers are intrinsic to the tent being tight enough. So, if you're inside, I suggest having a tool or two with you to allow emergency escape !!! (a knife? pliers?). Seriously! If I keep it, I'll probably modify it with some velcro for closing the door. And probably modify the steam inlet to a location by the door, with some additional tubing - so I can see the clock. The provided tubing makes it impossible to see the timer on the boiler while you are inside. Once its running, it's a pretty good experience. The tent is roomy enough that I don't feel claustrophobic. There is a big clear viewing door. The provided chair is ok, comfortable. There is a pocket inside the tent to hold a small towel inside. The steam line inside has a little 'pot' attached that can be used for aromatic oils if desired. I haven't tried that. This unit does its basic job. It is not readily collapsible and re-assemble-able, so plan to have it erected when not in use. (Takes too much time, IMO, to put it back together, and I'm not confident it would survive multiple re-assemblies.) Watch out that your floor underneath is protected from water/mold etc. Leave the unit open to dry after each use. Will I keep it? Not sure yet. Would I recommend it? With the above reservations. The purchase price, with discount, was pretty reasonable for what amounts to a 'grow-tent', a water boiler, and small folding chair. The tent stitching was well done, the zippers however -- very questionable quality. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Color: Grey Border
This sauna was easy to assemble and function. I have not tried to use it with an essential oil yet; I have only used it with water. So far its been functioning great. I wish it was a tad hotter, but you get what you pay for so I'm not complaining. I positioned this sauna outside on my porch, its summer right now so there's no harsh weathers currently that would ruin it. I am hoping to leave it outside during the winter months as well, but when it get cold outside I will make an update to this post to say whether or not it still gets hot enough. ... show more

  • Excellent for the price , does what it supposed to do
Color: Blue Border
Best purchase ! I’m enjoying this steam bath so match , i live in miami florida i have it on my yard outside, if the weather is not to hot that day i leave it under the sun so it gets hot faster and stay super hot , you can filling it with warm water to accelerate the process. Everything works great , fast and easy to install, i’m a small lady and i can totally do it by myself in less than 15 min . I love making sweet bath tea with basil and rosemary to clean my energy and bring sweetness and prosperity in my life instead of using only water , it also smells really good and is super relaxing . I also add essential oil to a piece of cotton or oil pads and place it in the steam box to add extra benefits. Thinking to upgrade to a larger size to be able to extend my legs and relax my body in a better position. The chair that comes with it is great i place a towel on top and a outdoor pillow for more comfort Love the 3 windows makes it feel less small when u are inside and u can look through them Almost 3 month using it at least 1 time a week and haven’t had any issues so far , besides the silver lining stared to get separated to the top fabric but nothing mayor , be gentle with the zippers , i’ll make a video next time to show how put it together fast and easy . Great size for balconies, small patios or apartments. I have used it inside my house as well when we had a whole week with strong rains and it didn’t have any issues Clean it well with natural products, let it dry an storage. Worth every penny! ... show more

  • It gets the job done, but you get what you pay for
Color: Blue Border
In reality I would give this 3.5 stars, so I’m being generous with 4. I ordered this because it was the lowest price point and I wanted to test it before I considered upgrading anything, and I’m glad I did. That said, it felt amazing to relax in a steam room from the comfort of my own home and I have no regrets! The good: -the size and height of the “tent” are perfect. I am tall and all legs and everything fits just fine. I also like that the height is lower since steam rises so sitting in it is perfect -the chair is small, but gets the job done. I threw a towel over it -the steam generator really pumps and it gets HOT! Having been used to sitting for 30+ minutes in a gym steam room I thought I could hang at the highest setting, nope. I had to turn it down to survive -I got the one with the 3 little windows and am so glad I did! When I need a quick hit of fresh air I just have to peel a corner back really quick -easy to clean! It took all of 2 minutes to wipe down the walls and floor, and door has a little velcro piece to hold it open so I pointed a fan at it to prevent mold and what not The bad: -I don’t anticipate this steam generator lasting more than 2-3 months, it’s pretty cheaply made -there are ZERO assembly instructions! The tent is not terrible to put together but there are different sized poles for different spots and I had to undo my work twice. There are also no instructions for the steamer so I just went off of pictures online -the steam generator does not allow me to adjust the time setting. When I click the buttons nothing happens. Luckily, the power buttons do work, so this isn’t a huge deal, as I can get out early and shut it off -the remote doesn’t work at all -the weird base insert for the water pile up is a piece of junk and I think I will throw it away and just put a towel down EDIT TO ADD - the timer and remote now work for the generator. Poof magic. ... show more
