I buy a lot on Amazon and rarely write reviews, but I'm breaking character today because I think these frames are wonderful, and I want people to know about them. I was looking for a super-minimal frame in a loft with very little headroom, to get two twin mattresses off the floor to prevent mold. This frame ticks all the boxes for me. Bottom line: -Very simple, minimalist design. I think it actually takes a lot of work and design iterations to make something this simple and do it well. -All the support and air circulation your mattress needs with only a few inches of added thickness. Great for lofts and other low-clearance/sloped ceiling bedrooms! -These frames are sturdy and well built. They don't creak even a little bit, and provide good support along the entire mattress. -The edges of the frames line up nicely with the edges of the mattress - so if you need to pull two together to make a larger bed, that will work just fine. -Lots of little thoughtful details, like rounded corners and edges, and joints that fit together snugly. Neither you nor your bed linens will catch on anything. -Simple, straightforward, well written directions, with increasingly rare niceties like proper spelling and punctuation, subject/object agreement and idiomatic consistency. These details may seem trivial, but in a world where technical writing is increasingly outsourced to non-native speakers, those of us who assemble a lot of furniture will find these instructions refreshingly welcome. -Other nice features: industrial strength velcro holds the slats in place (IKEA could learn from this) and then pre-placed high-tack friction tape keeps the mattress from slipping. Genius! And the little ratchet tool they give you for tightening the bolts feels like a solid tool. Really nice touch. I really can't find any negatives - though I only just finished assembling them, and may have more to say after a few months of use, though I predict these will stand the test. Nice job, folks!     • Great product for support of mattress without box spring

My daughter had a convertible crib that we recently converted into a full bed. I did not want to use a box spring, as I did not want the mattress too high in case she rolled out and took a dive in the middle of the night, plus I wanted her to be easily able to climb into it. The standard base and slats were lacking in number, strength and support. While it was okay for my 3 year old, it most certainly wouldn't have lasted long with me or any other adult on it. I searched Amazon and found this. The reviews looked good and it seemed sturdy so I decided to try it. It was simple to put together and was far greater in strength and support, just what I needed. The only thing I added was a support in the middle of the frame, a 4x4 under the center bar, which is only attached lengthwise and I felt may sag a bit. It may have been fine, but I just played it safe. Regardless, this is great for anyone who doesn't want the height and bulkiness of a box spring. I have a hybrid coil over/memory foam mattress and it is just what was required for proper support. She and a number of her friends were using it as a trampoline last night and it held up perfectly. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Because my bed lacked a box spring, my mattress would frequently make loud noises whenever I moved or changed positions at night. For this reason, I bought this Bunkie board. It was an annoying sensation that frequently kept me up at night and made me feel exhausted in the morning. Fortunately, this product offered the ideal resolution to this issue. My mattress's stability and support had much improved as soon as it was assembled. The bed structure was efficiently reinforced by the wooden slats, which also reduced the likelihood of noisy movements and prevented drooping. I can finally sleep soundly without having to wake up all the time from my mattress's creaks and squeaks. Because to the Bunkie board's robust design and dependable support, my mattress stays firmly in place and I can sleep through the night without being disturbed. Although the Bunkie board isn't completely silent, it has greatly decreased the noise level that my mattress produces, resulting in a much more tranquil sleeping experience. Because of the Bunkie board's increased stability, I've also seen a reduction in the amount of times I have to move and reposition the mattress. Although the assembly is generally simple, there was one small annoyance I had to deal with about the hook and loop fastener. It appeared to be somewhat bent toward the end of construction, which made it little more difficult to finish the setup without incident. However, I was able to successfully secure it in place with a little perseverance and modification. While it didn't negatively impact the entire experience, this is something to keep in mind as a small detail to be mindful of when assembling. ... show more

Great item and excellent customer service from the company. This is pretty easy for 1 person to set up and seems sturdy. Fits the bed frame perfectly adding minimal height to the bed. The slats are wide and close together, which is what I needed for my memory foam mattress. I'm certain this will help with my back pain that has gotten way worse since I bought a frame with skinny slats that are about 8 inches apart, not realizing the mattress would have a ton less support. This is a good quality set. Easy assembly, sturdy structure, good Velcro. I’ve also been pleased with an 18” stand I previously got from this brand at a home improvement store. This bunkie board even came with a ratcheting Allen wrench that will come in handy for other uses.
