The K Series is my new favorite. I played a lot of metal back in the day and recently just became a jam drummer. These are very, very warm and clean sounding. There's no harsh 21k Hz thrashing in your skull like the A-Customs. They Feel great, too. Really has a great spring to it on the bow edge.

I have been using Zildjian "K" cymbals for more than 20 years. This 18" crash cymbal has an unusual "hollow" sound with strange over tones that I found very irritating (actually bothered my bandmates too). Don't know if it's just this cymbal or what to expect from a crash of this size (I recommend16" or smaller). On a different "note", better to buy local so one can audition the sound. I returned the cymbal promptly, but Amazon wants almost a month to credit my account. Disappointed. ... show more
