So these look nice and are tall so that, eventually, the plants will grow on them and add some privacy. However, while they are actually ready to put together, mine came with the square side brackets crushed a bit in transit. So I had to reshape them to fit the upper pieces. On the bright side, the stakes for inserting then into the ground are actually metal and not plastic. ... show more

The stakes screw into the bottom and the bottom piece is just pressed into the vertical frame. Ground is a little hard so I attempted to use a rubber mallet to get the stakes into the ground and the bottom piece that the stake screw into just popped right out. This piece should be welded in place at the very least ... show more

What a huge difference in weight, strength and height compared to all the others I've ordered. Yes, this trellis is more expensive, and I can see why. These come in two sections that screw together with 4 screws, two each side. Then the ground stakes are screwed in. At this point, they're ready to be installed. I took pictures prior to fully installing them so I can show the large ground stakes attached. To get a good deep penetration into the ground, I did wet the area prior. It was really easy to push them fully into the ground. I ended up spacing them 6" apart. The vines I'm planning on planting will fill that area and I can achieve some privacy from the neighbor. Love the heavy materials, height and weight. Well worth it compared to the cheaper ones. Hope this info helps. ... show more

We picked these up for climbing vegetables like cucumbers and they work well for that use. They are pricey, but very heavy duty, so as they'll last multiple seasons the price issue is relative to the high quality. I've seen others comment they had issues with stability, but as ours are on an inside wall of a large raised bed this hasn't been a problem for us. We also blend our own raised bed soil, so hard compacted soil isn't an issue either. Overall we're pleased with the quality and thin they'll hold up much longer than the garbage flimsy plastic ones that plague this category. ... show more

Very very nice steel grated trellis. Easy assembly, the stakes are made very strong . Easy assembly, just connect the two pieces with a couple screws, add the stakes on the end of the legs., stick in the ground. Nice black paint finish. Looks great in my yard. !!!!

Otherwise these set of two very solid metal trellises are meant for dense creepers to climb up well and grow, provided they can stand. Due to a small flaw, it can't stand vertically for long time. A little breeze would trample it down, as the same thing has happened with me. There are two small metal square block fixed at the end of the two legs of the trellis that are connected by two screws with sharp aluminum big needles that would typically go down the soil and hold the upper structure. Since the metal square blocks are not pivoted right (or never soldered), they come out of the trellis' main structure, making it totally worthless, unless you dig deep for main structure goes down the soil and keep the structure safe. Seller/manufacturer must look into this small solution and resolve it making it useful. ... show more
