Bottom line - it works! We recently rented a 4 bedroom home on the "Forgotten Coast" in Florida. Housing is hard to come by around here but we got extremely lucky to find this place. We only got a quick walk-through because the departing tenant was packing to leave. The first thing that hit us was the overbearing smell of cigarette smoke. Unbelievable! Fortunately, the entire house has a tile floor so I figured the cleanup process would be easier. While packing our own stuff back in Tucson, I did some "Googling" of "Commercial Odor Remover" and landed on this ZEP product. Having some experience with the brand, I felt confident enough that it would work, I bought 4 cans. Before we unloaded the 20 foot U-Haul truck, I went room by room and sprayed the walls, floor, and ceilings. According to the label, it's really meant to be sprayed in the air and not directly on surfaces but the bad smell was so strong I just went for it. I even sprayed directly into the A/C intake several times. Simply put, it took less than one can to completely eliminate the smell. Sure, it would come back with changing temperatures and humidity levels, but a quick spritz and the smell was gone. We have had to reapply a few times over six weeks but I am exceptionally happy with this product. Note: I smoked heavily for 35 years so I am very sensitive to the smell.     • A little goes a long way

I bought this for the one room where smoking is allowed in the house. It had a pretty strong smoke odor and this stuff really did the trick. If there's a rug/curtains etc. make sure to LIGHTLY spray those because they hold smoke odors (test-spray on a small/hidden spot first to make sure it won't stain the fabric). Once that's done you can just periodically spray into the air in the center of the room as maintenance. I'm not really a fan of the "long lasting crisp mountain fresh scent" but once you get the initial smoke odor eliminated, you don't need to use much (depending on the size of the room of course). It's not particularly unpleasant, just strong. The scent can be more overpowering than what you're trying to eliminate, so use this in short bursts. SHIPPING NOTE: Amazon could really do a better job of packing these, I bought the 2-pack and both arrived with the cap covers crushed and one of the cans also had its spray nozzle broken off so it's unusable. I have used ozone machines for many consecutive hours to try and remove the smell of smoke. Not much difference. A friend told me to try this ( it was rude. I didn't ask) in seconds my whole apartment my clothes my rugs curtains furniture were like brand new. It has a sent wich normally anoys me but it doesn't cover up or over power the smoke smell. I don't know hiw it works but it truly works and it doesn't take drenching it I did pretty much everything I own in my home and it's still going strong.
