They’re cute! The wheels retract and then it moves forward. They are about the size of the palm of my hand. The wheels only retract on certain surfaces, about gum ball machine quality, so be sure and test them on your surface before showing your toddler. I'm getting these because my niece and her husband want to limit the sugar intake of their kids. So these are a great alternative. They are very well made. Its the type that you pull back and let go and they move forward from their spring/rubber band (not sure). I believe they will last more than a month. I recommend this purchase. I bought these eggs to hide on Easter when my grandchildren came over! They loved them and keep playing with them every day. There are very sturdy and a nice small size. They are pull back so they have a lot of fun with them. A great find!

Cons: One of the plastic eggs was crushed. The truck inside was ok, but the egg was trash. The hinge on one of the other eggs was broken making it impossible to keep the egg closed, so that was trash as well. Maybe I can put those two trucks in a different egg I already have. Each egg also comes with a plastic, shrink wrap around it. Good luck getting them off. No tear strip and hard to get hold of an edge to remove it. Pros: The little trucks are cute.
