I purchased this bathmat for one of our two bathrooms, but found out almost immediately that it was incredibly slippery on the bathroom's floor tiles. On the first day, two people in my household slipped when using it, and narrowly avoided hurting themselves. I was surprised that the bottom surface of the bathmat wasn't slip-proof, since it has a rubbery backing for that purpose. I was about to throw it away so no one would get hurt, but decided to try it in the other bathroom. Surprise! In the other bathroom (also tiled, but with different type of tiles) it doesn't slip at all, and grips itself to the floor as I expected it to in the first place. Now that it grips the floor, I really love it as a bathmat. It's thick and soft, but also dries pretty quickly, unlike some thick bathmats. The design and colors are lovely. I wish I could tell you why it's slippery in one and not the other, but I have no idea. I just wanted to put the warning out there, so folks don't get hurt. ... show more
