I write A LOT. I mean, I empty pens on an almost daily basis. Therefor, I'm a pen addict. Pens make me happy. These pens... OH... THESE PENS! I've been using Zebra brand pens and mechanical pencils for a long time because I like very fine points, and when the package says 0.5mm, Zebra actually means it! I've been using Sarasa for a couple of years, but in more traditional colors. I always want more colors! On the slight chance that someday, someone will read all this stuff I write, these colors are gorgeous. There is almost nothing that isn't fantastic about these pens. The points are super-fine and the ink flows readily every time, yet not so copiously that you can't feel your pen-strokes. The nibs are secure and steady in the barrel and don't dance around. The tips don't get gunky after prolonged use like some milky-color pens. The barrels and the clips are super-sturdy and feel a bit more substantial than cheap gel pens. They dry to the touch instantly, which is important for writing without schmears. They seem to write just as well, and are just as legible on black paper as on white. And BEST OF ALL - there are no retina-searing, juvenile fluorescent colors! Only pastels! I will say, though, that they aren't quite as opaque or "juicy" as other brands, so they aren't really any good for adult coloring or art applications. As with anything, you sacrifice some aspects to gain others, and the ink flow rate and lack of gunk is what makes these especially good for writing. It should not be surprising that someone would try to copy these pens, right down to the clips and the package graphics. I don't know what the heck some of these reviewers are talking about. These are ballpoint pens (NOT soft-tipped felt markers). They are excellent semi-fine tipped (.5 mm) and they are beautiful to work with. Well built with great line quality consistency. I draw constantly and am a pen-o-phile since I first used Rapid-o-graph pens 30 years ago! I know pens! These are AWESOME! The white even writes fairly opaque on black paper. Great pens! The picture is of a drawing that I used this set and the Zebra Sarasa 20-color pack. There are between 13 and 15 thousand individually drawn circles in this piece! ... show more

I am very, very pleased with this pen. I didn't quite know what to expect but was hopeful and I was SO happy my expectations weren't dashed. I'm a pen control freak. Not necessarily a good thing but I do like my ink to flow where I want it to. I like thin to thick lines to merge just right and I love and adore BLACK ink. This has offers just the right amount of flexibility and control I need for a good drawing experience. It takes just a little getting used to but once you have a method, you're good to go. I often use it with the Pentel brush pen, they compliment each other nicely. Keep in mind that although this is the Extra Fine version it does not beat the Rotring technical pen or the Copic/Sakura Micron finest drawing pens for thin line weight BUT that's okay. You can my pics for examples of the variation. I will most certainly purchase this again. Best wishes on your line work and I hope this review helps. Oh! One more thing, there's no bleeding or dripping in this pen. ;-) Which is a plus! See the Lotus flower for a good example of how the pen handles thin and thick lines. The Anemone is a mixture of pens, I used the Fude for the thicker lines and shadowed areas. ... show more

These beautiful pens have allowed me to draw this with beautiful. Color. I have found they are poorly made because the ball point on each one eventually comes out and leaves me with scratchy marks instead of a free flowing ink. I've had to takethe tip off other pens and transplant it onto this pen because I have to continue on in same color.. Great colors, poorly made. Pictures included. ... show more

I had heard good things about these pens so I was excited to try them. The pretty color solidified my purchase. However, once I got the pens and began to use them I was extremely disappointed. All of the pens are rough and skip constantly. No matter how much I try to get the ink flowing it never happens. I don't know if it's the brand or the colors that are causing this to happen. The grip feels nice and the being able to have a clothes clip like top is a nice detail. But none of that really matters when they don't work at all. ... show more

My new favorite gel pens! Before this I've only used Gelly Roll. The clip is super convenient, so I can clip extras to my planner or journal cover. The colors aren’t so bold, or bright, smacking you in the face; but they are opaque and visible. They're smooth, but still give me enough feedback as I write; In other words, these need less effort to control, than a "too smooth" pen from gliding out of control. They feel good in my hand with a soft rubbery grip, and a nice slight weight on top by the clip. The price was reasonable, and I really feel as though I made a smart purchase; Getting more than my money's worth. I can’t wait to start filling up pages! ... show more

I am really enjoying these for use in my day planner. They are working much better than the other Zebra Sarasa Clip 20 piece .5 set I got which is a huge disappointment to me because those have always worked so well in the past. But these milky pens are super in contrast and glide well and have good color saturation for me. The colors are pleasing to the eye, much more so than I expected quite frankly. I thought they would be too pale and they would be only useful for highlighter effects. So it was a big score. ... show more

I am a Professional artist. After a favorite online artist recommended this pen, I bought one and tried it. It worked great for a couple days, then started leaking ink from the tip and has become unusable and creates a mess. Even at the low price, it isn't worth purchasing. Disappointed. Would love to see the company send a replacement if they feel I somehow got a lemon. Wanted to like it so much... and I did for a couple days. ... show more
