But, for an eager three year old angler, I’d say it’s pretty darn clever. it's a fun fishing pole that is easy to use for kids. downside if you have to take the cap off the reel to rethread the line out becareful, the black handle and line holder pop out easily and can make ir frustrating while working with it. overall though a really fun pole that my 2,4, amd 6 year old boys can easily use amd cast and love to play with even when pretending to fish in the yard ... show more

I know right? It’s not a cat toy, it is a fishing pole, for a small kid, but it makes a great cat toy too. Especially because it came with a toy fish that is perfect for learning how to tie on hooks and lures and practicing your casting. I love it. And the cat loves it. Sure you could use one of those cats toy that is like a little stick with something dangling from it but with this little fishing rod you can relax and just practice your casting from the comfort of the couch while you watch Netflix (or should I say Prime). I mean, it’s ultimate entertainment. I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for lightweight because I was a bit surprised by the heft of it but I am 63 and starting to feel some arthritis in my hands. Value for money hands down is an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I love catfishing and so does my cat. And I gave it just ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for durability because I’m sure if I sit on it I will break it. I bought this as an interactive toy for me and my cat. I substitute the little fish weight with a small plush toy of hers and cast it and reel it back in. She loves chasing it. I have another one for our downstairs playtime as well. I have no idea how well this works for children actually fishing, but my kitty loves it for what we use it for. It is well made and an actual fishing pole and reel, so it might work as such for a small child. Honestly it's unbelievable how cheap this is and how well it works. I'll be honest I didn't really get to use it much because my children were pretty crazy when we went fishing.
