No manual was one issue. One of the screws that hold the long rods will no screw into the block. It's hard to see but it looks like some of the block material is pushed into the hole which is not allowing the screw to go into the threads. Disappointed. Not sure how to get in touch with seller for a replacement block. ... show more

Two comments: 1 the stabilization criticism mentioned in a previous comment. To quote: It depends on what the definition of is is". Stabilization in this context does not mean stabilization in the sense of "in camera", or "in lens" stabilization, or "gimbal" style stabilization. It refers to the stabilizing effect of being able to provide a camera holder that enables yo to move the camera around much more smoothly in the case of following a subject as they move and adjusting the horizontal or vertical direction the camera being pointed. for $40, one is not going to get the higher levels of stabilization the other devices provide. Also, the remote referred to is the "miniature" remote that is provided in the grip handle. The icon of the camera on the remote. A good read of the instruction images would make this plain (RTFM, it's only 2 pages!). A CR1632 battery is provided in the remote. One can get the batteries on Amazon, with some really low price options available. I've tried it, breafley and it all works together, quite nicely. ... show more
