If you were looking at a $45-$75 pepper mill is cause you are tired of buying not cost "disposable pepper mills " but disposable judging by how short their lifespan really is. I owned a restaurant and a very frustrating issue was having to buy a dozen Peeper mills very other month cause will simply quit grinding. All those culprits are made in the same place far east w/ grinders and teeth made of supposedly stainless steel but we know are more like stained steel, these mills stop functioning, rust, rust includes securing screws at the bottom, all seem made to break fast so costumers MUST buy more as 99% of all mills made there far east from $5 to $60 use the same proven useless mechanism. Now here we have different animal, a refined, well thought and executed plan with end result a grinder manufactured in Europe by a Germany company that looks solid built and class looking where the key moving parts, grinder and teeth are made of CERAMIC and will not rust or stop grinding, you know like the ones we love how "un"durable are that come from the east....., This one feels and drives like the BMW of the grinders with a very smooth operation. There was rust on the metal top when it arrived. I was able to scrub it off but for that kind of price for a pepper grinder you wouldn’t think that would be an issue. The grinder itself works great

I like this pepper mill but it’s unclear where it was made. The product description says Germany, the front of the tag says Germany, but the back of the tag says Made in Czech Republic. That’s very different!!
