When I first transitioned my baby to a straw cup around 12 months, she hated these. They were way too big for her and she kept tipping the cup back similar to her weight straw cups and couldn’t get any milk out. We moved them to the back of the shelf and recently brought them back out around 15 months. I’m so happy she drinks from them without issue now because they are SO EASY to clean. Many of her other straw cups have a million parts and we end up avoiding using them. These have only three parts: the cup, the lid, and the straw. We usually just take them apart and put them in the dishwasher. But even hand-washing is super quick and simple. Sometimes little dribbles of milk will come out if just left lying on its side, but they don’t leak like some of her other cups that will leave puddles of milk on our floor. Does a leak proof cup for toddlers and children REALLY exist? This review comes 3 months after purchasing. These aren’t exactly leak proof. Sure upon first inspection they pass the leak test. The one where you fill the cup up, turn it over and think “Aha, finally a kid cup that doesn’t leak”. All to be proven wrong by your two year old. Cup leaks whenever pressure builds up in the straw. Also, be prepared to replace straw after moderate/heavy use. My toddler chewed through two straws within three months. Otherwise (LOL), these cups are good. Toddler loves the design, easy for him to hold, and they’re super easy to clean {dishwasher safe}. They don’t come out the dishwasher with a soapy taste like some plastic cups. I also like the straw design; it’s soft, flexible and bendable. These cups don’t constantly leak, but it’s important to note that they CAN and DO leak time to time. As for toddler cups, I’ll continue to purchase these because I have yet to find a leakproof cup. ... show more

My 1yo always wanted to drink from her sisters put with a straw and I wanted something that was leak proof. This has been great. It will leak a little from the side if it's not on super tight, but that's an easy fix. Since there is a valve to prevent leaking, you have to suck a little harder to get water which frustrated her at first, but now she has it down. ... show more
