The lamp was well packaged with an inner sleeve to protect it against damage during shipping. It comes with an instruction booklet which is unnecessary. The lamp arrived fully charged and worked right out of the box.     I bought this particular lamp because I believe it is the “name brand,” for this product. I am hoping that this company actually did design this lamp because there are many copy cats out there already. If you are merely looking to save money and get SIMILAR-but-not-the-same functionality, you should buy one of those “knock offs,” for MUCH cheaper. Really No judgement here. I mean, it’s the same “effect,” essentially right? No, actually, no it is not (BTW - I’m not retracting my “No judgement here,” statement. I’m merely being dramatic to prove a point about this lamp’s quality - please save money if you need to: OF COURSE! I mean, I do when I do…dig?) HOWEVER, if you appreciate wonderful design, from form to function, If you celebrate true innovation, even if only to foster more of it in the world, and if you believe that it’s possible to get it right the first time (see the Fender Bass) then, by all means, buy this WONDERFUL lamp. If you would like to know what you’ll ACTUALLY receive for your hard earned money, BEFORE having to order and pay for it, do the following: 1) Clear your kitchen table, coffee table, dining room table, TV tray, or whatever surface you typically dine on, of everything else that’s currently on it. 2) Go find every bit of “That,” (wherever you keep it in your house) and place it on the dining surface once the table has been cleared. NOTE: Make sure you find absolutely ALL of “That,” before you put it on the surface. Anything short of all of it will not suffice. Got it? Do you have ALL of “That?” 3) Next, find a bag of chips. It can be any size, brand, style or flavor. It cooils be a bag of poker chips. It could be a pile of “chips,” you have collected in your bag of whup@$$ after “knocking them off,” someone’s “shoulder.” Any bag of chips will do. 4) look down at your dining surface. Do you see what you have? You have the equivalent of this marvelous, NOT-knock-off lamp.
