  • Handy tool to save grips.
Size: 1 pcs
My golfer husband has done a lot of club regripping over the years. Here is what he has to say about this tool: "This is a sturdy grip removal tool. A bit thicker than others I have used. That's good news and not so good news. I like that it doesn't bend easily but sometimes the added flexibility makes it easier to remove a stubborn grip. The square metal handle looks a bit primitive but is solid and works well. The shaft in this tool is straight. I like a little bend in the tool shaft to make it easier to insert. Saving a grip can be a snap or very challenging. In other words, some are easier than others to remove depending on the amount of grip-tape that was used and the type of grip. Oversized putter grips seem to be the most difficult. Be sure to have plenty of grip solvent ready and be patient. Sometimes the old solvent can be a little stubborn so you need to let it soak for a while. The price of this tool is good and may pay for itself in one or two re-grips. ... show more

  • I removed a grip without club or grip damage

I was able to remove a grip from a wedge that I have been planning on changing out. Once I got the solvent inside the grip using the groove of the tool, it took about 5 minutes to work the grip off by spinning the club and applying pressure on the tool towards the butt of the grip. I did slightly bend the tool during this process, but it shouldn't cause any issues for future use. I'm not sure it's a feasible option for re-gripping your entire bag, but nice for a one off to salvage a grip for future use. ... show more
