I was previously using just Ziploc bags to cover my cat's food to prevent flies, dryness and what not, a lot of food went to waste that way. But these are sturdy and they fit a variety of cans, they are not air tight but they work well. They are easy to use but you have to get the can lined up with the right set of grooves on the lid and then seal it. They are silicon, bend well and not hard to clean. These are sturdy lids that appear to fit a variety of cans. I only have one can size, so couldn't test it on other size cans. They are easy to get off by using the paw tab to pull them off. The only drawback is that to put them on, you must get the can lined up with the right set of grooves in the lid, and then move your finger around to seal it. I have a really old can lid thing and you just pop it right on and off. So I was expecting this to be like that. The difference is my old one is a rigid plastic. These are silicone, and I think the flexibility of them leads to you having to take just a little more time to get them on. This lid does not fit well on cans that use a pop-top because the small lip left after removing the pop-top does not allow the lid to sit down far enough to give a good seal.
