I’m so glad I took a chance on this carrier bag. My elderly yorkie loves it! I’m actually wearing it now and he is so calm and settled. I tried and returned the Tomkas Dog Sling Carrier with Adjustable Strap & Zipper Pocket, because it didn’t have a hard bottom or structure. It made my dog feel unstable and unsettled. He would insist on trying to stand the whole time. (Maybe that’s just my dog and other dogs wouldn’t have minded.) I would recommend getting the version of this Yudodo carrier with the hard bottom. The mesh pocket on the strap in the front fits my iPhone snugly. I could see how a Max sized iPhone would not fit. I also appreciate the pocket underneath the hard bottom panel that fits a small ice pack in the summer and a warmer in the winter. (Ice pack and warmer not included, but its good to have the option.) My yorkie is on the smaller side and weighs 5.2 lbs. I would recommend getting the medium carrier to make your dog feel more comfortable, especially when they wear sweaters and coats in the winter. At first glance I worried if the medium was too small, but it fits him perfectly. He could lay down comfortably. The strap feels sturdy and the material is well made. I have a 14 year old Boston Terrier who is blind, mostly deaf and has lingering symptoms of vestibular disease. In her old age she is most comfortable by my side. Our original bag was a front facing book bag that she could sit in but it did not allow her to lay down. I wanted this to work because she fit in it perfectly and could comfortably sleep while I carried her. The only issue is my strength. She is about 16-17 pounds and the pressure point on my shoulder from her weight made it so I could only carry her 15-20 minutes at a time. Unfortunately, I need to be able to carry her a lot longer than that and am on the hunt for something more comfortable for me. If she was under 10 pounds I feel as though this bag would have been perfect. ... show more

I needed a bag for my chihuahua who has some mobility issues. She cannot take really long walks, her back legs can't handle it. I saw this bag and said what the heck, it's reasonably priced. Here is the breakdown... Warning--- I have 4 dogs, who are all under 25 lbs. Pros It works- she rides in it well. Easy to get her in and out (mostly, see later notes). I got the bigger one and that's ok because I needed to carry one of my other dogs one day and he fit (sort of) as well. I also had another dog recovering from a spay that needed walk restrictions and she rode in it smoothly. You can put a towel or blanket in if needed. Rides decent- it is on your chest/ belly area. Does bounce a little but stay there. (see other notes) Affordable- for the price, its easier than making your own. Cons Ride quality- there is no stabilizer strap across your middle so it bounces and swings out when you lean. I have to bend over to pick up poop 4 times during our walks so this can be a bother. Adjustability- This is really a bad point. There is very little adjustability. The one point lets you shorten the strap a little. I find myself hiking this thing up higher on my chest regularly even with my 9 lb dog. Dog retention- there is this weird, for lack of a better term, choker string that has a barrel adjuster on the neck area. It is inconvenient and for us, not needed. It gets in the way of loading/unloading. Breathability- it gets darn hot in there in the summer heat, I just carried her, winter should be fine. Storage- Hahahahaha!!! Unless you have a Nokia flip phone from the 80's there is no storage! There is a tiny mesh pocket on the strap. That's it! If I am going for a long walk with my guys (1.5 hours) I have to put on a backpack with water bottle and bowl. Then put the dog carry bag on. I barely can fit 4 dog harnesses and their 6 foot leads in this thing. As with any purchase, this is based on your needs. If you have a mobility challenged pet, you guys don't walk very far or you are ok with carrying him/her a lot, then you can use this bag. If you carry your phone, wallet and keys with you when you walk you should use some other sort of bag in addition to this one. In a rainstorm I was able to put part of my coat over her but this bag is not waterproof at all and I would not trust it to hold electronics. Though I guess if you have room you could put it under your dog in a ziploc wrapped in a towel? For a relatively cheap solution, for a very specific situation, this bag does work. This is a great carrier but it’s bigger than I expected it to be. My chihuahua adult is 7lbs and there is a ton of extra room! My chihuahua puppy is 2lbs and I can’t use this with her till at all. I really wish there was a smaller option. The strap only adjusts so far so this carrier hangs very low so my legs hit it as I walk. I will still use it and I think it’s good for the price but could definitely be improved upon. ... show more

My Pomeranian loves being in this carrier. She goes absolutely everywhere with me and almost always goes right to sleep once I put her in. I like the little slot in front for my phone and credit card. Definitely makes going out and about with your fur baby easy and enjoyable

I really like that this allows me to take my puppy with me everywhere I go. There are a couple of things that I could be improved. I would put the pet compartment zipper on the top rather than the bottom so that the pet can be put in and taken out while the pouch is on rather than having to take it off to put the pet in or take it out. I would also use a metal toggle and collar clip rather than plastic as my pup quickly destroyed the plastic ones by chewing on them. ... show more

My dog suffered a head trauma last Dec. She always wanted to be with me which made it VERY challenging to do anything. I bought this so she could be with me everywhere I went and also with me around the house while I did house chores. It helped tremendously while she was going through the healing process! She weighs about 5.5 lb I ordered her a size Medium (weighs 5.5 lbs) so she can have some room to move around, sink herself into it but also be able to peak her head out of it when she wanted to, kind of like a turtle as my daughter would say.
