I wanted a nice looking carrier with rollerblinds for my kitten, to reduce stress when going to the vet. This fills the bill nicely. Surprisingly well-made and the mesh is about the same quality as my $85 "premium" cat carrier. Bottom is sturdy with the included hard mat inserted. SUGGESTION: Buy an 18"x12" soft bed to put inside this carrier. I bought a grey one from a local big-box store for $9.74 (NOT INCLUDED with this carrier). Total price once you purchase a soft bed (sold separately) is roughly $32. The included mat is really just a base support for the carrier itself. It works as is, but the included hard mat has *zero* cushion to it (including the 'soft' side). FYI: If I were going to fly – I'd buy a carrier with a small mesh pull-out "patio" for extra room when on board. You can't go much larger in terms of dimensions as it wouldn't fit underneath the airplane seat in front of you. ... show more

My cats do NOT like trips to the vet. I bought this carrier to replace one of my hard carrier cases. So much easier to carry. Much lighter. My cat was less distressed and I especially enjoyed not having that hard case banging into my legs.

The carrier just arrived and I'm quite pleased with it. It is sturdy and well put-together. It has mesh on 3 sides: the top, one long side, and one short side. I have a very shy kitty, so I like that the top and long side have privacy flaps with velcro that can cover the mesh or be kept open if preferred. The whole thing can be folded flat for storage. It was our 1st time flying with our 18lb Havenese. This carrier made flying easier than we ever imagined. Our dog loved it and didn’t mind going into it (it helped that we always gave a treat when he went in). The best part was the 3 expandable sides. The only thing about it that is a little annoying is that when you unzip the side the rest of it can’t hold itself up. But that’s not that big of a deal in my opinion and my kitty did not mind being in it at all. It seems more comfortable than a hard plastic carrier and gives mesh windows to be able to look out which my car enjoyed because she was able to see me and what was going on. ... show more
