I ordered the Yubunt Kayak Gel Cushion for the kayaks at my cabin but it’s mainly being used on the wooden stools in my kitchen since it’s so comfortable. I had some visitors staying with me over the weekend and they all wanted to sit on it. Although it’s being used in the house right now, this gel cushion is perfect for a kayak since it has anti-skid backing, is waterproof, breathable, and has a handle that makes it easy to transport. It's also really convenient that it can be placed in the washer when dirty. I recently had a surgical procedure that made an item like this seem like the perfect solution for the recovery period. I tried it out and...it was uncomfortable for me. It just seemed too long and, frankly, firmer than I'd prefer. On the other hand, that may well be exactly what others may want and need. I've never used a kayak so maybe a product like this would be ideal for that purpose. As a chair cushion, however, I found it more comfortable simply to sit on the chair sans padding. Taking care of elderly people off and on throughout my life, I’ve seen and even sat on my fair share of seat cushions, gel cushions and donut pillows. I am by no means an expert, but from what experience my own butt has, I can confidently say that while this cushion isn’t the best, it’s definitely far from the worst. If you’re on a budget and need a pretty solid gel seat cushion, this one should do the trick. It’s true to size with this being a U shaped design. The cover is breathable and easy to take on/off when it needs cleaned. I love the handle sewn onto the back..makes it super easy to carry around whether traveling or just taking it from the car to the house. The back of this is non-skid which is great for a lot of reasons. This can work for the advertised kayaking, canoeing, boating etc. OH…it also comes with two yellow kayak plugs?? Those I know nothing about, but they seem nice **shrugs** This would also be great for the elderly or anyone who sits for long periods of time. Maybe you have an office job and sit at a desk all day or maybe you are in a wheelchair…maybe you just have some angry hemorrhoids at the moment…this gel seat cushion is bound to alleviate any butt soreness you may be having. Right now my husband is sitting in his computer chair (also sitting on this cushion) playing his video game for the 8th hour in a row…**eye rolls** He reports that his butt feels great. I got this to use on a kitchen chair. Not a boat. Usually some home projects keep me in these chairs for hours on end. This cushion is a heck of a lot more comfortable than if I didn't have it.
